The upcoming television reboot ofThe ‘Burbshas had a huge influx of new cast members. The original 1988 movie, which was directed by Joe Dante, starred Tom Hanks and Carrie Fisher as suburban married couple Ray and Carol Peterson, whose lives are turned upside down when Ray begins to suspect the new neighbors of dangerous behavior. The upcoming’BurbsTV showis being developed by Peacock. Produced by Brian Grazer and Seth MacFarlane, the reboot is set to be led byNopeandOne of Them Daysstar Keke Palmer.
PerVariety,the’Burbsreboot has fleshed out its main cast with five new stars. Jack Whitehall, Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch, and Kapil Talwalkar have all boarded the project as series regulars. Whitehall will be playing the husband of Keke Palmer’s character, though the characters played by the remaining four stars are still under wraps. Nzingha Stewart (Daisy Jones & the Six,How to Get Away with Murder) will also be joining the show behind the camera as an executive producer and the director of the first episode.
