If you want to have a fast solution to today’sConnectionspuzzle, you may need a little help to get all the way there. There are several issues with today’s puzzle that can make it a little harder, but in my opinion, it was not as difficult as yesterday’s. However, there are a lot of word choices that could be difficultdepending on what you associate with them. Some of them have double meanings and others could be paired together in a category that does not exist.
If you likeConnections, you might also like theNYT’sThe Strandspuzzle. In it, you will have to find different words that all relate to an overarching theme. As you find words that are not in the puzzle, you will also earn hints for doing so. This allows you to figure out what the theme words likely are and keeps you on track to win the puzzle quickly. Today’s Connections Category Hints
NOVEMBER 30 #538
Once you have tried to start the puzzle and have found yourself in need of a few hints, you will need to figure out how to sort out the puzzle. This puzzle has a couple of categories that are synonym-basedand two that are more focused on different varieties of something. That kind of mix can be hard to pull apart and put back togetherif there are a certain number of crossover words. To help you do so, here are four hints:

SWING
TAP
If you like ballroom dancing, you would likely be aware of all of these words. I have done at least three of these, with the exception of MODERN. However, some of these wordshave the potential to get mixed up with the other words in the puzzle. SWING feels the most likely, with words like SWIPE and perhaps even ROCK. However, I think that on the whole, this category has the least number of words that could go somewhere else. It is supposed to be the easiest one, after all.
SWIPE
If you haveever played a rogue in any game, you are likely quite familiar with these words. However, for those that are not, PALM might be the one that could be with other words. It looks like it could belong with KNUCKLE if you do not know any better. However, this one also felt very straightforward, and I was able to get this one first. SWIPE and PALM were the two giveaway words for me, with LIFT being the one I got last out of all of them.

Wordle is a simple daily word game that has taken the internet by storm. With only 6 chances to get the right answer, players may need a little help.
NAIL
ROCK
As stated, ROCK was the one that could possibly belong with a few of the other words. However, NAIL is also a candidate for belonging to a word in another category, with SCREW being quite similar. Luckily, there are not any other hardware wordsthat I could see belonging to these two, but I did consider that they might belong together for a little while. I could also see CRUSH and SCREW together as well but for different reasons.
KNUCKLE
SCREW
Lastly, we havemore sports words! However, today I came to this category last and there were not any other categories that I wasn’t very familiar with. That made the biggest difference between yesterday’s puzzle and this one, and I am glad I was able to figure it out and get this category without too much frustration. At least, today a sports game was not my downfall and I got to restart my streak.
