Vegeta and Goku were away from Earth when Cell Max attacked, so they never got to see Orange Piccolo or Gohan Beast. They heard about their fellow Z Fighters' power-ups and couldn’t wait to see more.
Goku then brings Gohan, Goten, and Trunks to Beerus' Planet where Vegeta and Broly are waiting for them. Gohan then powers up to his Beast form and spars with his father, pushing even Goku to his limits. Gohan Beast is one of the few characters in the entire series to land a blow on Goku in his Perfected Ultra Instinct State, showing that even without the power of the gods, Gohan is one ofthe strongest characters inDragon Ball.

Broly’s reintroduction to the series is exciting. His old character was an exceptional villain, and he somehow looks even better as a soft-spoken hero. His sparring sessions with Vegeta and Gohan bring the best out of his character, showing that he’s a patient young fighter with a lot to learn and a lot of potential to back it up. It’s a perfect name for two reasons that might have something to do with each other. First, it could be aboutGoku and Vegeta training Gohan and Broly to master their beastly natures, allowing Goku and Vegeta to move on from their roles as Earth’s (and the Universe’s) mightiest protectors.
Second, it could be referring to Toriyama’s passing, making a direct reference to Toyotarou now taking over the series. Either way, the cover looks incredible. It shows Perfected Ultra Instinct Goku, Ultra Ego Vegeta, Super Saiyan Broly, Gohan Beast, and Orange Piccolo looking ferocious. The volume covers forDragon Ball Superhave always looked great, but Volume 24 takes the fan’s favorite characters and places them center stage looking war-ready.
