WARNING! This article contains SPOILERS for The White Lotus season 3, episode 7!Five episodes later,The White Lotusseason 3, episode 7 finallyconfirms a theory about Valentin and his friends’ secret actions at the resort, which puts the fan-favorite character Gaitok in danger. Over the course of season 3,The White LotuscharacterValentin has gotten himself wrapped up in some major conflicts at the Thailand resort. Not only is he at the center of Jaclyn and Laurie’s big feud, but he’s also involved in one of the hotel’s unsolved crimes. As such, it looks like Valentin has a rude awakening coming for him in the season 3 finale.

Following their introduction, there was a cloud of mystery hanging around Valentin and his two friends, Aleksei and Vlad. Valentin initially seemed to be an innocuous health mentor assigned to help Laurie, Jaclyn, and Kate at the resort, but his story took a turn afterhe slept with Jaclyn, who is married and had been pushing Laurie onto him throughout the week. Now,another darker layer has been uncovered in Valentin’s narrative in episode 7, as Gaitok spotting him with his friends at the Muay Thai fight confirmed a popular theory about their roles in episode 2’s hotel robbery.

The White Lotus Season 3, Episode 7 Confirms Valentin & His Friends Were Responsible For The Robbery

SinceThe White Lotusseason 3, episode 2, themost popular theory about who committed the robbery at the hotel was that Valentin and his friends were responsible. In that episode, Valentin showed up on his motorcycle and began talking to Gaitok about the Muay Thai fights at the security gate, which allowed a black car to speed past. A masked man then got out of the car, held up the clothing and jewelry shop with a gun, and stole expensive items. After several days, the resort was unable to find out who the thieves actually were.

However, when that masked man returned to the gate, he knocked down Gaitok after someone in his passenger seat briefly went outside. As such, Gaitok had been able to see one of the unmasked thieves before they sped away, though his head injury from being attacked at that moment kept him from remembering what he looked like. It wasn’t untilGaitok spotted that mysterious unmasked man with Valentinat theMuay Thai fights inThe White Lotusseason 3, episode 7that this memory came flooding back, confirming that Valentin and his friends Aleksei and Vlad robbed the hotel.

The White Lotus Confirmed Our Biggest Greg Theory & I’m Convinced Belinda Is Going To Change Her Mind

The White Lotus season 3, episode 7 confirms a theory about what Greg wants with Belinda, and I think she’ll take him up on his offer in the finale.

Considering Gaitok got the Muay Thai fight tickets from Valentin and they appear to have a friendly rapport, confronting him and his friends wouldn’t be an easy task for the affable security guard. However, Gaitok has also been working harder to prove himself in his position. Since he doesn’t want to go down the route of violence with Valentin, Aleksei, and Vlad,Gaitok will likely demonstrate his career strengths to his supervisor, Pee Lek, by revealing the trio as the thieves and solving that crimefor the resort.

Valentin & His Friends Being The Thieves Explains Why They’ve Been Hanging Around Laurie, Jaclyn & Kate

Were They Only After The Trio’s Money?

The fact that Valentin and his friends are the thieves from episode 2 also adds another layer to the implications of their intentions withLaurie, Jaclyn, and Kate inThe White Lotusseason 3. Valentin was assigned to be their health mentor, butit certainly wasn’t within his duties to take them to a club and dance outside the resort with his friends, come back to their place and swim in the pool, and offer to take them to Muay Thai fights. Not to mention, Valentin sleeps with Jaclyn and his friend Aleksei sleeps with Laurie.

In the same episode that Gaitok confirms them as the hotel shop thieves, Aleksei continues to ask Laurie to wire him $10,000 to help his mother.

It could still just be the case that the hookups were based simply on lust, but Valentin and his friends’ involvement in the robbery, as well as Aleksei’s requests to Laurie, suggest otherwise. In the same episode that Gaitok confirms them as the hotel shop thieves, Aleksei continues to ask Laurie to wire him $10,000 to help his mother. Considering how quickly he prods her to do this after sleeping together,The White Lotusappears to behinting that Valentin, Aleksei, and Vlad have only been after Jaclyn, Laurie, and Kate for their money.

Valentin might potentially be expecting a bigger tip from the group after showing them around and spending so much personal time with them, while Aleksei was hoping to guilt Laurie into helping him out financially. Vlad also spent significant time inThe White Lotusseason 3, episode 5hanging around Kate and telling her about his tragic life’s story, but Leslie Bibb’s character being happily married meant she wasn’t going to begin an affair with him. The jewelry they stole clearly wasn’t sufficient for the funds they needed, soseducing rich hotel guests may have been their next strategy.

Will Gaitok Confront Valentin & His Friends With His Gun?

Since Gaitok is expected to inform Pee Lek about his realization that Valentin and his friends are the thieves, the latter group will need to work against them to keep from being apprehended. Valentin will inevitably show up at work the next morning, and he could potentially be joined by Aleksei and Vlad if they try to meet up with Laurie, Jaclyn, and Kate before they leave. Thatcould lead to a confrontation between Gaitok and the security staff and Valentin and his friends, with both sides each also having gunsat their disposal.

The White Lotus' season 3 finale will premiere at 9 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 6 on HBO and Max.

Though Gaitok wants to avoid violence, he might end up needing to use the gun against Valentin and his friends in the finale if they draw their weapons. The White Lotusseason 3’s opening scene reveals that numerous gunshots ring out at the hotel on the final dayof the guests’ stay, which seemingly results in a dead body floating in the water by the meditation center. Sadly, Gaitok having a gun and preparing to confront the thieves increases the chances of him beingThe White Lotus’ mystery victimfrom the opening scene.

While there were also previousfan theories that Mook was involved in the robbery, it’s becoming much less likely that she played any role in Valentin and his friends’ plans. Mook and Valentin haven’t been seen interacting, and she genuinely seems to care for Gaitok instead of manipulating him to help the thieves out with security. SinceMook had been telling Gaitok that violence sometimes becomes necessaryto show strength inThe White Lotusseason 3, episode 7, her words could tragically inspire him to engage in a shootout with the thieves in the finale.
