The first poster for the television spinoff of the popularOlympus Has Fallenfranchise has been revealed. TitledParis Has Fallen, the upcoming project will be a local language television series and the first of the franchise not to featureGerard Butler’s Mike Banning. The series was confirmed to be in the works in 2021, until it was formally announced in May 2023, with Butler executive producing through his company G-Base. The franchise itself began in 2013 with the first movie,Olympus Has Fallen, and has since released two sequels.

With the tagline “Don’t trust anyone,” the series is set to occur “after the fall of London,“referencing 2016’sLondon Has Fallen. The poster shows the two leads striking action poses near Paris' Arc de Triomphe, which is being swarmed by goons in tactical gear.

No Release Date Has Been Announced For North America

While it’s unclear when and how the show will reach North American audiences, a number of things are already known about the first television spinoff of theHas Fallenfranchise. When the series was formally announced in May 2023, Butler was not part of the main cast, butDeadlinehad reported thathe could make a cameo as Mike Banning. Whether this will be true will remain to be seen, as the show underwent several changes during production.

One of them was the replacement of Mathieu Kassovitz with Tewfik Jallab as the lead. Kassovitz exited the project in October 2023, citing creative differences. Jallab will playVincent Taleb, a French Minister’s protection officer who is the target of a terrorist group.The Umbrella Academy’s Ritu Aryawill portray MI6 operative Zara. Taleb and Zara team up to keep the minister safe, but a wider conspiracy could put all of them in danger as Paris begins to fall.

TheHas Fallenfilms have, so far, grossed a combined $500 million at the worldwide box office. A fourth film,titledNight Has Fallen,is in development with Butler set to reprise his role as Banning.

Mission: Impossible — Fallout’s Sean Harris is also confirmed to be part of the cast, with Ana Ularu, Camille Rutherford, Jérémie Covillaut, Emmanuelle Bercot, and Karl Collins rounding out the cast.The series will also run for eight episodesand will be released in France later this year. It’s unclear whether or notParis Has Fallenwill lead to more television spinoffs, but the franchise is also gearing up to make a fourth installment with Butler very soon. Should this series be a success, it could speed up development on the next movie.

Olympus Has Fallen an action thriller film and is the first in the franchise. The film follows former army ranger/special service agent Mike Banning who lost his position after the death of the President’s wife. When a North Korean terrorist group attacks the White House, Banning must tune back into his old skill set to save the president and the country from nuclear devastation.
