The Green Lantern Corps Returns in a Brand-New DC All In Series
Big Changes Are Coming to Green Lantern’s Franchise
The last year has been a wild one indeed for the Corps. The organization was taken over by theUnited Planets' Lord Premier Thaaros, who used the Corps as a personal army rather than a peacekeeping force. Hal Jordan and John Stewart left in protest andThaaros overhauled the Green Lantern Corps, using its power to eliminate other factions in the Emotional Spectrum, such as the Red Lanterns and the Star Sapphires. But with every Corps that was destroyed, the Emotional Spectrum grew moreand more unstable, causing new Lanterns to be born.
Thankfully, the Earth-based Lanterns formed a resistance whileHal Jordan discovered a new Green Lantern Central Power Battery on Earth(as well as a way to forge new Power Rings, independent of Thaaros' control). Together, the Green Lanterns exposed Thaaros to the United Planets, but Thaaros managed to take control of a powerful relic known as the Dark Star Ring, granting him more power than ever. Meanwhile, the Emotional Spectrum is on the brink of utter collapse thanks to Thaaros' dark work.

Our Take: It’s The Perfect Time To Bring Back The Green Lantern Corps
The Green Lantern Corps is Being Rebuilt By the Best People
The Green Lantern Corps has had some downturns lately, but that’s all over thanks to Hal Jordan. The Corps has an opportunity to start over, free from Thaaros' corruption. And best of all, this rebirth of the Green Lantern Corps is being spearheaded by some of the best the Corps has to offer. From John Stewart, the most powerful Green Lantern, to Kyle Rayner, who mastered the Emotional Spectrum, a Corps composed of the Earth-based Lanterns is an absolute boon for the DC Universe.
Granted, this Corps will be smaller, at least until they can produce enough Power Rings for more members. But the Green Lantern Corps has plenty of firepower with these seven members working together, and that’ll certainly be enough to fight back against the mysterious Fractal Lanterns. It’s a bold new era for the Corps and one that’s undoubtedly a welcome return for hardcoreGreen Lanternfans.

Green Lantern Corps #1will be available on February 12th, 2025 from DC Comics.
Green Lantern
Green Lantern is the name given to multiple enforcers of intergalactic justice in the DC Universe. Green Lanterns can harness the cosmic energy of willpower, and create unique spectral objects to face off against their enemies. Though some Green Lanterns have assisted with the Justice League, they primarily belong to the Green Lantern Corps.
