Luna is an excellent support character inThe First Descendantand can give her team a variety of buffs to get inspiration from her allies. Her skills are much like Bards’s in other types of RPGs in that she can inspire and trigger enhanced skills. She can be hard to manage if you are playing solo, but playing in multiplayer can make her a vital member on your side.
There are manycharacters inThe First Descendant, but they all have different skills and powers. Finding the right Mods and Weapons for each can be a tall task, but luckily, there are many different options to maximize the potential of your Descendant. Luna is a great Support character with no elemental bonuses, which can give out strong buffs and raise her team’s morale.

All Luna Skills & Abilities
How To Utilize Them Well
Luna’s skills are pretty unique in that you musthit the notes to fill up the meterand use them well. Each of them luckily has set patterns assigned to it with a consistent BPM, so if you hit the note, you will be able totransition between skills and get the buffs. This is important to get right, and you will also want to know how to sequence your skills to make the most of them.
Generally speaking, you want totransition between the time-based skills at the right moment. For instance, you could start with the Relaxing Act, move into the Exciting Act, and end with the Cheerful Act. Spending your Inspiration Gauge at the right moment is also crucial, as you will want to do so at critical times, such as when aboss inThe First Descendantis downed. Luna can bevery difficult to play solo or with a non-communicative team, so try to find a team that can communicate what they are planning and when you can unleash your skills.

The First Descendant: Best Freyna Build (Weapons, Module, & Abilities)
To create the best Freyna build in the First Descendant, utilize weapons and Modules that enhance her Toxic-based status effects and abilities.
You also want tostay mobile and continue to rotate between Acts. Exciting and Relaxing are going to be the ones you rotate between the most, with a hopefully Enhanced Cheerful Act coming in at the end to save the day since it has the longest cooldown but with a big payout. This is especially helpful forteammates with longer cooldowns, as it completely resets their cooldowns when triggered.

Effect
Passive Skill (Improvisation)
When using a skill to hit the Note, the Inspiration Gauge goes up. When the Inspiration Gauge maxes out, an Enhanced Skill can be used, depleting the Inspiration Gauge. If you fail to hit the Note, the Inspiration Gauge goes down, and the skill also does not activate. If you are out of combat for a long time, the Inspiration Gauge will vanish.
Stage Presence
Equips a unique weapon. It will be unequipped when MP is fully depleted, or all bullets are fired. When it is equipped, Notes activates and allows the use of skills. Hit the Notes by shooting them or using skills. If the button is not pressed, it will fail. Successfully hitting the Notes grants Perfect Pitch.
Exciting Act
Changes Notes. Grants Exciting Performance to self and Exciting Sound to any allies within range. If Enhanced, the effects are increased.
Relaxing Act
Changes Notes. Grants Relaxing Performance to self and Relaxing Sound to any allies within range. If Enhanced, the effects are increased.
Cheerful Act
Changes Notes. Grants Cheerful Performance to self and Cheerful Sound to any allies within range. Also fills the Inspiration Gauge when hitting enemies while also hitting Notes. If Enhanced, the effects are increased.
To see how these skills interact, note the video byEefannabove. Each of these buffs has arange of various modifiers depending on how you hit the Notesand what other equipment you have.

Best Modules For Luna
Support & DPS Builds
There are two main schools of thought with Luna:Support and DPS. Support is going to be stronger for her overall, but it requires mostly cooperative teammates and some other factors as well. To have a good DPS build, you will want to focus on critical hits and increasing your output. This will be focused on yourNoise Surge module in Slot 1, which turns your support-based skills into offensive AOE variants instead.
This group ofModules inThe First Descendantwill best suit Luna as a DPS role. It is based on YouTuberMoxsy’s suggestions.

Skill Critical Hit Damage +16%; Skill Critical Hit Rate +7%
Maximize Range
Skill Range +24%; Skill Power Modifier -5%; Range increase applies only to certain skills.
Mid-Air Maneuvering
Modifies the Grappling Hook to be cast mid-air. It can only be used once, Charge Time is increased by 20%.
Multitalented
When using the Dimension Active Skill, Skill Cooldown -5% for 5s. When using Fusion Active Skill, Skill Cost -2% and Duration +2% for 5s. When using the Tech Active Skill, Skill Range, and Power Modifier +4% for 5s. When using the Singular Active Skill, All Attribute Damage +8% for 5s. Only one of the effects is applied.
Skill Expansion
Skill Effect Range +12% applies only to certain skills.
However, if you want to make her into the Ultimate Support, you should check outKnightmareFrame’s build. It is focused aroundNimble Footstepsinstead, which consistently allows you to strengthen your allies and give MP-enhanced buffs. You will get aboosted Movement Speed and a larger Skill Range. Some of the other Modules are the same, so the ones that are different are listed down below:
Nimble Footsteps
Granting a buff to allies increases Luna’s Movement Speed and Skill Range.
Long-Distance Maneuvering
This modifies the Grappling Hook range to 25m. However, the Base Charge Time changes to 6s, and the charge time increases by 20%. Based on the Enhancement Level, it increases Max Module Capacity (current +0) and decreases Charge Time Increase (current +20%).
DEF +16%

Non-Attribute Specialist
Non-Attribute Skill Power +20%
You will want torun this build with teammates for maximum effect. Notably, as long as you are hitting each Note, your cooldowns matter less, and you should be focused on helping others with theirs.
Best Weapons For Luna
Optional
The thing about Luna is that she could, for the most part, care less about what weapons she was running. Mainly, you want to bring weapons that can get you out of a bad situation if need be. The main ones recommended areThunder Cage for many small enemies and a higher DPS, while you will probably want Afterglow Sword for bosses.
The First Descendant: Best Viessa Build (Weapons, Module, & Abilities)
Turn Viessa into the ultimate frost queen in The First Descendant by giving her the best Modules, Equipment, and Weapons to emphasize her ice powers.
You will want whatever weapon you have to have the Expanded Weapon Charge module to make your Stage Presence even better. You are going to be looking forvery similar rolls on both weapons, shown in the list below:

The First Descendant’s recent update brought a new character to the game – Luna. Here’s an overview of her playstyle, skills, synergies, and more.
Other Equipment For Luna
Reactor & External Components
If you are going solo, you will want theMaterialized Singularity Reactor with the Sonic External Component set. This will allow you to boost your skills even higher, thus getting a bigger buff altogether for your DPS, and the Sonic set will give you amultitude of increased defenses and resistancesto keep you alive and well. Keeping her survivability high is key.
If you are going full Support, you will want theTech Reactor called the Materialized Mechanics Reactor. This gives you a lot more Skill Power and a fairly big boost to your Skill Power Boost ratio. You will want to roll for Skill Effect Range and Additional Skill ATK when Attacking Colossus. You may not want the full set of External Components for this one, though. If you want one full set, theAnnihilation set is where to go.
However, you may want to only use the Auxiliary Power and Processor from Annihilation anduse the Bravery Senor and Memory Component. Whatever Sensor you use, you will want to get MP Recovery in Combat on it, and for the others, you will be looking for other types of buffs to MP and DEF. And that is all you need to know about playing Luna inThe First Descendant.
