The Boysprequel has gotten an update from Aya Cash.The Boysseason 4 endedthis past summer, withseason 5 confirmed to be the last season in the series. This season’s ending laid the groundwork for an exciting final season, with the finale hinting at Homelander’s takeover in the show’s final season.The Boysseason 5 is confirmed and is currently set for release sometime in 2026. In addition toThe Boysseason 5, a prequel series titledVought Risinghas been announced.
In an exclusive interview withScreen Ranton the red carpet forThe Franchise, Cash provides an early update aboutVought Rising. Theactor mentioned that she has “read some scripts"forThe Boysprequel series and said that “they’re really good.” Throughout her response, Cash was sure to emphasize that Stormfront is a very different person from herself and that her character is “bad bad bad.” Despite the vile nature of her character, Cash herself is “so excited to go back and work with those people again.” Check out the full quote from Cash below:

What This Update Means For Vought Rising
Vought Rising Is Still A Ways Out
Cash’s update provides very little information concerning the plot ofVought Risingor the release date. The early update does, however, confirm that the scripts are in development for the prequel series.The Boysspinoff seriesGen Vis planning for a 2025 release, andThe Boysseason 5 is coming in 2026. This seems to make it unlikely thatVought Uprisingwill come in 2025, but it is possible that it could come in between now and the final season ofThe Boys.
Cash’s quote is also further proof that Stormfront will be returning for theVought Risingseries. Her return was initially announced at San Diego Comic-Con at the end of July, along with the return of Ackles. In Ackles' case, the actor is returning both forVought RisingandThe Boysseason 5.Stormfront died duringThe Boysseason 3, so she will not be returning forThe Boysseason 5. BecauseVought Risingis a prequel, however, it will give the franchise a chance to explore the character’s background in more depth, even though her story was cut off by her death inThe Boys.

The Character Has A Lot Of Potential
As malevolent as she may be, I’m excited to see how Stormfront fits intoVought Rising. The character is known to be a Nazi inThe Boys, so how that background played out in a different time period to the 1950s-setThe Boysprequel spinoff seriesVought Risingwill be fascinating. With a lot ofThe Boyscontent on the way, it is great to see thatVought Risingis making progress, even if its release date is still unknown.
