Proxima B’s Destruction Paves The Way For Countless New Stories
DuringThe ArkSeason 1, Garnet and the rest of the crew put all their efforts towards reaching Proxima B. The characters boarded the spaceship hoping to make history by being the first humans to step foot on the distant planet. Everything changes in the season 1 finale when the methane-covered destination is exposed to the sun with Trust’s rotation device. Not only is Proxima B obliterated, but Cat (Christina Wolfe) dies inThe ArkSeason 2premiere due to injuries sustained in the blast.
While heartbreaking, her demise was necessary to show that none of the characters are safe from harm.
Cat’s death will loom over viewers as the story moves forward and serve as a reminder that anything can happen at any time. Now that the crew is searching for a new place to call home, the show may expand on the universe by exploring new planets and species. There is no limit to whatThe Arkcan accomplish as long as it continues to create unique adversaries for the characters to overcome as they travelthrough outer space.
