What The Agency Trailer Reveals About The Show
How The Show Compares To Another Recent Fassbenger Project
Fassbender’s character inThe Agencyactually looks to have some similarities to his recent role inDavid Fincher’sThe Killer.Martian seems to have been an especially capable agent, but events quickly look to spiral out of his control, much as they do in the hitman Netflix thriller. In contrast withThe Killer, however,Fassbender’s character inThe Agencylooks to have more emotion as he becomes caught between the CIA, the consequences of his undercover work, and the woman he loves.
The Agency’s trailer also provides a better look at Bosko and Henry, characters played by Gere and Wright, respectively. Both look to hold supervisory positions in the CIA. Interestingly, this will be the second time Wright has played such a character after playing 007’s CIA ally Felix Lighter in severalJames Bondmovies. Turner-Smith, on the other hand, plays Sami Zahir, the love interest who learns the truth about Martian’s CIA identity. Waterston’s character of Naomi is more mysterious, but it looks like she also works in the intelligence community.
