Fans should be aware that due to the episodes releasing very close to their Japanese debut, they will initially only be available in Japanese with subtitles. The English dub releases are about 3 weeks behind the subtitled release at the moment, and thus the next episode to be dubbed will be episode #19 of season 3.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slimeseason 3, episode #21 featured the Tempest opening festival at its peak, with all kinds of entertainment going on to enchant the nobles and commonfolk alike. The episode opened with a concert performance featuring both human and monster performers playing classical music, as well as a special performance by Shion and Shuna showing off their skills with the violin and piano, respectively. There was also a scientific presentation, showing Tempest’s study of Magicules and how they interact with even non-living objects, stunning many academics in attendance.
Later on, Rimuru had a meeting with Mjollmiles and many of his other most trusted associates, where it was revealed that Tempest might be having a problem paying its debts. While the nation is rich in treasure, it has little in the way of actual currency, making it difficult to pay smaller merchants the appropriate amount. The idea was floated to overpay a bit in raw gold, rather than coins, but Mjollmiles objected vehemently, claiming this would set a bad precedent. The situation seems to have been orchestrated by the merchant’s council, hoping to damage Tempest’s plans for a “co-prosperity” zone.

Slime Brings Back the Action This Season Has Sorely Been Missing
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slimeended the previous episode with the opening of the arena, and episode 22 is entitled “The Martial Arts Tournament,” suggesting that the arena battles will begin in short order. Based on chapters 112 and 113 of the manga, the Lightspeed Hero, Masayuki, will be making his tournament debut alongside his comrade Jinrai. A few other competitors will also be introduced, including a mysterious figure in a lion mask who may turn out to have a familiar face. Geld and Gobta will also be fighting in the arena, here to represent the true strength of the nation of Tempest.
The martial arts tournament is set to have a conventional bracket structure, with some interesting match-ups sure to take place. Given how peaceful season 3 ofThat Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slimehas been, fans are no doubt excited to finally see some action once again, and the arena is the perfect place for some incredible fight scenes to take place. And even once the tournament is done, there will still be the excitement of the Labyrinth which Rimuru and Ramiris created lying ahead, so the season looks to be approaching its end on a high note.
