Its location suggests to the players that it might be an excellent side quest to complete while waiting tolocate Squint inStalker 2and getting somenice experience and weapon upgradeswhile they are at it.
STALKER 2: Heart Of Chornobyl - More Than Another Cult Classic
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is an ambitious and engrossing open-world immersive sim, putting you in the Zone, an unnerving and unfathomable place.
However, this is far from a walk through some flowers, and you will need to be prepared to go into the quest. The game warns you totake a fair amount of Energy Drinks, or at least things that can revive your Stamina. Doing this is necessary, as when you get to the Poppy Fields, you will realize that it is a large area with nearby enemies, a stamina-draining effect, and hallucinations. The game will also periodically cause you to black out andteleport you to another part of the field, making it easy to lose your way.
There is another man nearbywaiting in the house next to the fields named Pomor. You can talk to him to get a hint about where the cellar you are searching for might be. However, this willcost you 2000 Coupons or a different side quest. 2000 Coupons will be quite costly early on in the game, and the job will be just as difficult as finding the cellar as it requires you to go through the fields.
2000 Coupons is more than either the relic or the weapon (after repairing it) you can get from this quest is worth.This is a bad trade; youshould only make it if you want to get out of the quest quickly.
If you take the side quest, you will have to go tofour different bodies located throughout the Poppy Fieldand loot them while you are using up your Energy drinks and wasting stamina. Additionally, the roving wind of Poppies is a potential one-hit knockout, and you will have to avoid it at all costs. This drains your resources and your stamina, andyou are unlikely to find the cellar while looting the bodies. However, if you know where the cellar is, you may bypass the side quest and Pomor and run straight for it.

Exact Map Location & What To Do To Find It
As you can see on the map, the cellar location,marked by the green player arrow, is not close to the four bodies you have to loot. Moreover, from the ground,small hills hide iton all four sides, and the poppy wind that can be deadly is often floating around it. Here is the best way to get to the cellar, from what I experienced:
DoNOTattempt to go into the Poppy Fields and search for the cellar in the dark. Even with a waypoint, you need to be able to see the wind in order to avoid it, and you may not be able to see the dip in the hills you are looking for.
You aresafe from the Poppy Field once you are insidethe cellar. Take a breather, drink an Energy Drink if you need to, loot the body, and grab the relic. Once you are ready, ascend back out and sprint back to where you first entered the field. From there, you canreturn the relic to Mityay or take it to Pomor, as he will express interest even if you do not complete his side quest.
Even if you do not complete Pomor’s side quest the first time, you cango and loot the bodies for yourselfor complete the quest even after you return the relic.
Players will receive around1000 Coupons from Mityayif they return it, while Pomor will give them a broken AR416. While you’re able to sell orupgrade the weaponif you repair it, you will end up with the same profit as thecosts to do so are around 7000 Coupons. Additionally, Mityay will say that he’s going to the Poppy Fields to search for himself, leaving you to feel guilty and with a likely dead Mityay on your conscience.
STALKER 2: All Anomalies And How To Beat Them
Learning how to identify and navigate anomalies is an important part of gameplay in STALKER 2. Here are all the common types you’ll find in the Zone.
TheAR416 is a somewhat decent assault rifle, but it won’t break the game or make the next quest much easier for you. Bearing that in mind, going the other route and returning the item to Mityay is much less trouble and won’t cost you a fair chunk of change. And since you were able to find the location of the cellar quickly, you will have saved quite a few resources for the next mission inStalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
