Special Forces: World’s Toughest Testbrings back several celebrities from movies, TV, and sports, and theSpecial Forcesseason 3 cast shows that it is not always the most popular celebrities who are capable of passing these rigorous tests. Based on the British television series,SAS: Who Dares Wins, the show takes celebrities from all walks of life and has them start training with United States Special Forces trainers. Then they have to compete in these difficult courses to see who has what it takes to make it to the end.
Thethird season’sSpecial Forcescast saw some familiar faces, depending on what people might watch. There were names from television, includingHer Wild Thingsstar Denise Richardsand one of the Baldwin brothers (Stephen Baldwin), a pair of former NFL football stars in Cam Newton and Golden Tate, three Olympians in Nathan Adrian, Marion Jones, and Jordyn Wieber, and the best of them all ended up being a social media influencer and model. Here is a look at theSpecial Forcescast and how they finished.

Cast Member: Kayla Nicole was one of the lesser-knownSpecial Forcescast members, a model and influencer known for her successful wellness platform called Tribe Therepē. This wellness platform makes her a legitimate threat on the show, as she has studied the balance between mental wellness and body positivity. She is also Travis Kelce’s former girlfriend. “I’m actually excited for people to see us stripped down, raw, vulnerable,” she said (viaPage Six). “I think people in general, the general public, need to be reminded that we’re all humans, right?”
SFWTTResults: Two people passedSpecial Forces: World’s Toughest Test. Kayla Nicole even said that after winning the competition, she was “a little traumatized.” The finale saw Nicole and Jenner team up against Newton, Tate, and Blanchard to find an extraction point before getting captured. All of them were captured, and only Jenner and Nicole made it through the interrogation. After Golden Tate was disqualified for almost allowing Nicole to die, she hit the mark in the reveal and was the last to pass.
Brody Jenner
Cast Member: Brody Jenner is a second-generation star. His parents are Olympic world champion Caitlyn Jenner and actress Linda Thompson. His fame, other than being the child of an Olympian, is thanks to his appearances on reality TV shows. He has been part ofThe Princess of Malibu, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Bromance, andThe Hills. He had a positive mindset aboutSpecial Forces: “You’re there to get to know each other and to help each other, motivate each other, and just attempt to make it to the end” (viaUs Weekly).
SFWTTResults: When talking about the interrogation test in the finale, Brody Jenner said that it wasn’t as big of a deal for him because he is “used to interrogation, being a reality star, living in the spotlight like that” (viaPEOPLE). He said he would channel all his frustration to get through that. Jenner was able to choose the right time to reveal he was working with the Special Forces as soon as the interrogators began to push his head under the water, and he passed the tests.
Golden Tate
Disqualified (Episode 10)
Cast Member: Golden Tate isa former NFL star wide receiver after a successful college career at Notre Dame. He played for the Seattle Seahawks and the Detroit Lions for most of his career, although he had short stints with the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants as well. His career was solid, with 695 receptions for 8,278 yards and 46 touchdowns before he retired after 11 seasons. After retiring from the NFL, he proved his athleticism when he played minor league baseball.
SFWTTResults: Golden Tate was one of two NFL stars to make it to the finals (along with Cam Newton). Both of the football players ended up going out the same way, though. Tate was told to reveal his identity (which he could only do if it was a case of life or death) or else his interrogators would throw Kayla Nicole into a deep pool of water with a cinder block on her leg. He refused to identify himself, even though it was a case of life or death (for Nicole). That caused his disqualification.
Cam Newton
Cast Member: Cam Newton is one of two former NFL stars to join theSpecial Forcescast in season 3. He was a massive star for a short time as the starting quarterback of the Carolina Panthers.He set the NFL rookie records for passing and rushing yards by a quarterbackand was the first player ever to throw for 400 yards in his first NFL game. Newton led the Panthers to Super Bowl 50 and finished his career with 32,382 passing yards, 5,628 rushing yards, and 269 total touchdowns.
SFWTTResults: Cam Newton was one of the strongest competitors in the third season ofSpecial Forces: World’s Toughest Test. He was also one of the most confident, which is not always the best thing, as fellow NFL star Dez Bryant learned in the second season. However, unlike Bryant, Newton made it to the finals before he was disqualified when he finally revealed his identity when interrogators began dumping water on him in a pit. He was only to give up his identity if his life was at risk.
Alana Blanchard
Voluntarily Withdrawn (Episode 10)
Cast Member: Alana Blanchard is a professional surfer. Thanks to her charisma and success as a surfer, she established herself as an influencer when her web series,Alana: Surfer Girl, launched her into the online world. She has 1.6 millionInstagramfollowers and wanted to useSpecial Forcesto show she could achieve anything. “I had seen it before, but going into it, I was definitely nervous. I didn’t think it would be that bad... I was definitely wrong. It was a huge reality check” (viaSurfer Magazine).
SFWTTResults: Alana Blanchard almost quit earlier in the competition, but she wouldn’t give up on herself then and pushed through until it was time for the final mission. She made it to the final episode and the final five competitors before she finally broke down and quit. When the recruits ended up captured by enemy forces, she was kept in a cold, dark holding room. When the interrogators asked what kind of mother would leave her children behind to do this, she finally had enough and quit.
Christy Carlson Romano

Cast Member: Christy Carlson Romano is bestknown for her roles onKim Possible(as Kim Possible),Even Stevens(as Ren Stevens), andCadet Kelly(as Cadet Captain Jennifer Stone). Other than her roles in the popular teenage television shows, she also worked on Broadway, making her stage debut when she was only 14. She has also built a podcast empire, which started with her interviewing former child stars and new podcasts featuring stars of other popular TV shows as hosts.

SFWTTResults: When talking about her struggles onSpecial Forces: World’s Toughest Test, Christy Carlson Romano said that she has failed many times in life before but feels she never really gave her full potential in this event. She said after a “big fail” in the hostage mission, she felt she could do more but wasn’t keeping up. Sadly, she was forced out later in the episode when the trainers said she was “a liability to the rest of the group” during an endurance challenge.

She had worked hard all season, and while she failed almost every test, she never gave up and kept fighting. That finally ended in the eighth episode. Pratt said she had a sinus infection when the test came to hike up a mountain with rocks in a backpack. “I was like, ‘Alright, yeah, I’m done,'” Pratt said (viaDecider). “Like, I’m very proud of myself. I’m very proud of everything that I did.”

Cast Member: Carey Hart is primarily known for two things: he is a motocross rider responsible for the popularity of Freestyle Motocross, and he is also married to rock star Pink, someone he said supports him in his attempts as part of theSpecial Forcescast. “She’s like, ‘Okay, well, this is something you really want to do. You are an idiot, but I support it. You know, go, get through it in one piece,’ because she’s been along the ride for many, many injuries that I’ve sustained and recovered from” (viaMovieGuide).
SFWTTResults:Corey Hart’s time onSpecial Forces: World’s Toughest Testended thanks to an injury,making Pink’s fears founded. He said he tripped over a cable on a mud run on the January 29 episode. “I got hurt because I wasn’t paying attention,” he said (viaUs Weekly). “I actually have to have that ankle fused next year — I have no cartilage left in that ankle — and I tripped and I hit the ground… there was no way I could complete the next couple of days of that show with a blown-up ankle.”
Landon Donovan
Medically Withdrawn (Episode 4)
Cast Member: Landon Donovan is one of soccer’s most successful players.He has appeared in three FIFA World Cupsand is tied with Clint Dempsey for the most goals in U.S. Men’s National Team history with 57. The three goals he scored in the 2010 World Cup made him the highest-scoring male American player in World Cup history. Donovan began his international soccer career in 1998 and played professionally for the LA Galaxy from 2005 to 2014.
SFWTTResults: While his technical withdrawal came in the fourth episode, he was one of five people who ended up going home, thanks to what happened in the third episode. This injury happened during the brutal “milling” that happened in the third episode, which was a no-holds-barred boxing fight. This is the same competition that knocked out swimmer Nathan Adrian, who had a bloodied nose. Donovan had it worse since he ended up fracturing ribs on both sides of his body.

Cast Member: Nathan Adrian is one of the Olympic athletes in theSpecial Forcescast.He is an Olympic swimmer with eight Olympic medals. He won one gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Games, three medals at the 2012 London Olympics (two gold and one silver), and four at the 2016 Rio Olympics (two gold and two bronze). He was also a five-time individual NCAA Champion. He said, “It was a pretty instantaneous ‘yes’ in my head'“when invited to compete onSpecial Forces(viaSeattle Times).
SFWTTResults: Nathan Adrian was an Olympic swimmer, but this did not prepare him for what was expected from him onSpecial Forces: World’s Toughest Test. In the third episode, he took on former NFL star Cam Newton in a spar where they were boxing in front of everyone. However, Adrian had no chance against Newton, who went in and didn’t let up. By the end of the fight, Adrian ended up with a very bloody nose, and the medical staff forced his withdrawal from the show.
