Smile 2actor Peter Jacobson talks about the role his character, Morris, plays in the horror sequel that follows up on the events in the originalSmile.The sequel sees the Entity gaining more power as the creepy smile spreads to the big stage, centering around a pop star, Skye Riley (Naomi Scott), as mysterious events begin to haunt her everywhere she goes. InSmile 2’s story, Morris shares information and advice with Skye as he has knowledge of the Entity.
In an exclusive interview withScreen Rant, Jacobson goes into detail about Morris, who’s a “sort of mysterious outsider who has had an experience” dealing with “the terror.“Not only will Morris have “tons of knowledge” about the Entity, but he’ll also take part in trying to “save the world” from the ongoing terrorJacobson reveals that Morris is “an ER nurse” with “medical information that might come in handy,” teasinga “really fun” dynamic with Skye. Well, it’s very different experience in terms of the energy of the role. I won’t go into any detail about him, too much about where he comes from, or why he’s there, what he’s doing, but just generally, this sort of mysterious outsider who has had an experience, a very painful experience, with the terror. He’s gathered tons of knowledge about it, so he intervenes to try to help Naomi, Skye, and save her, and essentially save the world from this terror that’s only going to get bigger and bigger. And he has information that she doesn’t have. There’s something mysterious about him, there’s something quiet about him.
He’s an ER nurse, which is part of why he has this medical information that might come in handy. I won’t say any further about that, but I read in him an anxiety, a pain and a total commitment to what was going on. He’s just a great character. Again, Parker wrote a very human, softer character, somebody who’s just in his own little space, and suddenly he busts out and tries to help Naomi, and she’s this crazy rock star. So, it’s sort of weird for him to be involved with her, but again, just sitting down at this bar, and I’m trying to help her out. She’s in a state, and I’m in a different state, and we’re trying to find a place to work together. She’s just a ball of fire, she’s a star, and bringing those two characters together was really, really fun.
Parker just sort of helped us finesse it really well. You learn [his backstory in the film]. You do learn why he’s there, and we’ll see what happens with Morris.

Pay Attention To Morris
The actor’s comment adds more mystery about Morris. He only teases his connection to the Entity. However, based on what the actor said,Morris is instrumental in the pursuit to end the spreading infectionwhile being very different from Skye. In addition to having him as part of the star-studded cast,Smile 2also gives Morris a backstory that makes the character relatable, in contrary to only being the means to provide the necessary information.
Does Smile 2 Have A Post-Credits Scene?
Smile 2 pushes the horror franchise in a new direction, and it’s known if there is a post-credits scene teasing Smile 3 and the expanding future.

Morris gives Skye and those inSmile 2a fighting chance, at the same time, raising the stakes now thatthere might be a way to stop the Entity. Audiences will have to watch the film to see whether they’ll surviveSmile 2.If not, their deaths would be more than ever heartbreaking while paving the way for others to continue the fight.
