Secret Levelepisode 7 delivers a heart-pounding story of conflict between two factions of mercenaries, with a running theme about who is the “bad guy.” Prime Video has released an anthology series which takes inspiration from different video games in each new episode. While some episodes appear to very closely resemble the games they are inspired by, others use the core premise as a foundation to build on, and they create something incredibly unique. The result is a powerful and compelling series with an exciting new chapter in every episode.

InSecret Levelepisode 7, the show draws inspiration from the video gameCrossfire, which was initially released in 2007. The game was a viral success all across Asia, but the explosion in popularity was not quite as intense when the game was introduced to the American audience and the rest of the West. Despite this, it did stand up as a strong first-person shooter with objective missions in a landscape where it was a crowded genre and style of game. And rather than focus on solo missions,Crossfireput a large focus on strategic team battleswhich required teams of up to 16 people to coordinate and work together.

Who Won The Game?

Secret Levelepisode 7 starts out by introducing one of the two core teams, Black List, as they prepare to transport a client. The members of the team have concerns because the client is usually the kind of person they are hired to kill, but on this occasion, he has paid to be transported across a border where he hopes to deliver a suitcase to a group of freedom fighters. It’s mentioned that he is a traitor, and someone untrustworthy, but themercenaries have been hired to do a job, and that is exactly what they intend to do. However, it is not long before the opposing team, Global Risk, begins to make their mission more challenging.

Secret Level Episode 6 Ending & Pac-Man Connections Explained

Secret Level episode 6’s ending concludes the trippy, unique take on the simple game of Pac-Man, complete with betrayals and dark twists.

When the two teams eventually come into conflict, the Black List operative chooses to separate her client and the suitcase he is carrying in order to defuse the tension with the Global Risk agent. This allows her to escape with the client unharmed, and progress to their intended destination. Meanwhile, Global Risk also achieves their objective having retrieved the package that they were chasing. Ultimately, this means thatboth teams actually won in technical terms, completing their goals, and performing their tasks as required. The only person who lost was the client, who failed to include the suitcase in the job description when he hired the Black List mercenaries.

Global Risk & Black List Are Two Factions Of Mercenaries In Crossfire

Throughout the episode, there is frequent repetition of the idea that no one is the “bad guy.” The Black List agents justify their actions as it fulfills their work requirements, and allows them to serve those who need help. Likewise, Global Risk is in the exact same business. While thetwo factions come into conflict while working on their assigned tasks, neither group is intent on killing the other, and they simply want to do their work and move on.

Technically speaking, there does not appear to be a group ofbad guys inSecret Levelepisode 7, but there is an individual who could be defined as the bad guy. The client who hires Black List mercenaries appears to be disliked by that group, and while Global Risk confirms that he is a civilian, the package that he stole puts him in their crosshairs. Despite this, Global Risk is not out for blood, and when the package is returned, they cease their operation. The client, however, feels cheated because he hoped to have a big paydaywith the stolen goods, and now arrives at his destination empty-handed.

What Happened To The Client?

The Client Got Exactly What He Paid For

As the episode concludes, the client is driven to his desired destination. Black List mercenaries reject his request to go back for the suitcase, citing that the contract only required he be delivered to the border. Being completely unharmed, although potentially a little shaken up,Black List delivered exactly what he paid for. However, he mentions that the freedom fighters are likely to kill him if he turns up without the goods. Whatever was in the suitcase was of high value to the freedom fighters and the Global Risk team, and potentially enough to kill the civilian client over.

Secret Level’s Intense Pac-Man Episode Revealed In Unexpectedly Dark Teaser Trailer

A teaser trailer has been released for the Pac-Man episode of Secret Level, and the show is taking the character in a surprisingly dark direction.

While his death is not confirmed, he stands alone on the edge of the border, empty-handed. As a civilian who has nothing of interest to either the Black List team or the Global Risk team, he is no longer being targeted by those groups. However, if he is to be believed, failing to deliver the stolen goods he promised the freedom fighters willpotentially spell a disastrous outcome for him. In a sad, lonely image, he stands alone in the deserted foggy streets, while the Black List agents drive away and leave him to whatever fate awaits him.

How Does Secret Level Episode 7 Relate To Crossfire

Does Secret Level Faithfully Recreate Crossfire In Episode 7?

As mentioned above,Crossfireinitially came out in 2007 and grew to become an extremely successful game in parts of Asia. The game grew to have more than a billion players worldwide, and continued to have live servers globally until around 2018. Today, the game does still function on several servers, but it is not quite as ubiquitous as it once was. However,Secret Levelepisode 7 evokes a sense of that classic first-person shooter game, with a variety of agents, two teams competing to meet their unique goals, and a range of different roles for each team member.

As a narrative story, the show provides a more thorough exploration of the teams, with moving and emotional character moments that are not seen in the games. In addition, the art style is a huge departure, as the show has left the clunky style of the 2007 game behind for an ultra realistic art style that makes the characters appear real, and allows them to express emotion throughout. Perhaps one of the biggest episodes is the lack of actual fatalities intheSecret Levelepisode, as the show explores the deeper reality of these warring teams and their motivations rather than a simple first-person shooter style video game where death is inconsequential.
