It is these fateful words that prompt the aspiring Dark Lord to take Celembrimbor’s life with a final arrow through the heart.
Speaking withVulturefollowing the recentRings of Powerseason 2 finale, Edwards was asked about the true nature of his prophetic words. Likeninghis character’s own vision to the one experienced by Galadriel at the beginning of season 2, Edwards also suggests that Celebrimbor’s experience in crafting the rings may have also led to him deducing Sauron’s need to craft a master ring. I was thinking it was similar to the vision Galadriel has of Celebrimbor at the beginning of season two. It’s a flash. There could be an idea of enslavement with the rings as well. Now that he’s gotten far enough with the process, he understands that Sauron’s going to need control to make these rings work. Maybe he’s pieced that together as well. But I saw it as a kind of flash, a vision in my head, and he just says it.
