Pokémonfans could get a new look atPokémon Legends Z-Aahead of next year’sPokémonDay thanks to a well-known leaker. Back in February, The Pokémon Company surprised many when it announcedPokémon Legends Z-A, a newPokémonLegends game set in the Kalos region. Details about the game are still light, but The Pokémon Company confirmed that the game would be set in Lumiose City, the central city of the Kalos region, and would bringthe popular Mega Evolution mechanicback to the game.
Since that initial announcement onPokémonDay (February 27th),The Pokémon Company has kept a tight lid on information aboutPokémon Legends Z-A, with no new trailer or announcements of any kind. However, the well-known leakerRiddler Khuclaims that a trailer will still be released ahead ofPokémonDay 2025, whichCentroLeakslater deciphered for those not as keen on Khu’s riddles.

The hacker chose to keep information aboutPokémon Legends Z-Aprivate, although some wondered whether the massive hack led to The Pokémon Company delaying aPokémon Legends Z-Atrailer. According to the leaker Riddler Khu,Game Freak did allegedly delay a new trailer forPokémon Legends Z-A.However, The Pokémon Company still plans to provide fans with new information ahead ofPokémonDay.
New Pokémon Legends Z-A Release Date Theory Lines Up With A Pokémon Game Tradition
Pokémon Legends: Z-A doesn’t have a concrete release window yet, but it’s possible to guess by looking at some other upcoming Pokémon releases.
Riddler Khu has correctly leaked information about thePokémonfranchise in the past, and it’s widely assumed they are connected to the Chinese localization team. However,Khu has gotten information wrong as welland many of their leaks in 2024 have not come to pass. So, while Khu may be correct, they could also be trying to keep their reputation intact. Fans Will Still Be Hyped Whenever The Trailer Comes Out
WhenPokémon Legends Z-Awas released, we knew that the game wouldn’t be released until 2025. If the game wasn’t due to be released until the latter half of the year, there was seemingly no point in ramping up the marketing for the game until closer to its release. UnlikePokémon Scarlet and Violet,Pokémon Legends Z-Awill probably not have numerous new Pokémon species. The big reveal for the game will be how it differs fromPokémon Legends: Arceusand whether the game is set in the past, present, or near future of thePokémonfranchise.
Honestly, if the decision was made to delay aPokémon Legends Z-Atrailer, it would make more sense for The Pokémon Company to wait until Pokémon Day. Otherwise, they’re stealing the wind out of their own sails unless there are plans to release anotherPokémongame in 2025. An early January trailer would be nice, but fans will still be hyped aboutPokémon Legends Z-Aregardless of when the next trailer will be released.
