Pokémon GO A Dazzling Display Special Research Tasks
Get Loads Of Rewards Including More Popplio Encounters
There are four steps to work through in the A Dazzling Display Special Research story, each of which has three tasks to complete. As well as learning more about this Alola-region species from Professor Willow, you’ll also get plenty of rewards along the way.
Popplio encounter
Power up Pokémon 10 times
20 Popplio Candy
When you’ve completed all of these tasks, you’ll be rewarded with3000 Stardust, a Popplio encounter, and one Incense.
Evolve 3 Popplio
30 Popplio Candy
When you’ve completed all of these tasks, you’ll be rewarded with4500 XP, a Popplio encounter, and one Lucky Egg.
Evolve a Brionne
50 Popplio Candy
When you’ve completed all of these tasks, you’ll be rewarded with4500 Stardust, a Brionne encounter, and one Rocket Radar.
Claim reward!
2 Silver Pinap Berries
When you’ve completed all of these tasks, you’ll be rewarded with5500 XP, a Primarina encounter, and three Rare Candies.
How To Get A Dazzling Display Special Research Story
You’ll Need To Pay To Get It
The only way to get theA Dazzling DisplaySpecial Research story is to purchase a ticket from the in-game shop. This will cost around $1 (£0.99) or the equivalent price in your local currency. It’s also possible to gift tickets to friends if you have a high enough friendship level with them. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like there will be free tickets for attending Community Ambassador-hosted meetups this time around.

Unlike Timed Research quests, you don’t need to worry about Special Research stories expiring, meaning you can complete all of these tasks at your own pace. Having said that, it’s better to finish as many tasks as you can during the Community Day, as most of them involve catching or evolving Popplio, and the Water-type starter isn’t a very common spawn inPokémon GOoutside of special events.
