Once Humanis a game that has pretty much everything. Players can customize their characters, build homes and decorate them, fight monsters known as Deviants, collect resources and Deviations, fish, grow and harvest crops, hunt wildlife, and even tame and raise animals. InOnce Human, taming animals is called Ranching.
Ranching wasn’t always an option inOnce Human, but with the 1.1 update, it became a new relaxing activity for players to enjoy. After a long day of fighting Deviants and looting, there’s nothing like coming home to a fortified base and being greeted by a pet deer, rabbit, or even a crocodile. Before opening the door to these tameable creatures, there are a few requirements that must be met.

How To Tame Animals In Once Human
Capture And Tend To Animals At Your Base
To tame animals, you’ll need to unlock two specific Memetics: Animal Capture and Animal Taming. Head into your Memetics menu, and you’ll find them under the fourth tab. Unlocking the Memetics is only step one. Next, head to yourSupplies Workbenchandcraft the Tranquilizer Throwing NeedleusingSteel Ingot,Engineering Plastic,Rubber, andStardust Source.
With the Animal Capture and Animal Taming Memetics unlocked, you’ll have access to a feeding trough, as well as recipes for different feeds that can be cooked at a stove or other cooking station.

With the Tranquilizer Throwing Needles in your inventory, head out and look for an animal to tame.To easily tell whether an animal can be tamed, check for a white line on their health bar. Animals with white lines can be caught, while those without cannot. Once you find a tameable animal, attack it until its health is below the white line. Be careful not to kill it, but if you do, you’re able to always try again.
When its health is below the white bar, you can throw the Tranquilizer Throwing Needles at it to put it to sleep.Approach the animal and press F to capture it. You can then place your new pet down in your Inventory just like any other item by heading into your Inventory and selecting it under Tools.

Animals start with a Tameness level of 0. Unlock your animal’s resource output, behavior, and traits by increasing the Tameness level. To increase the Tameness level, keep it happy, energized, and hydrated.
