Why A No CGI Version Of Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes Will Be So Interesting

It Offers A Deeper Look At The Filmmaking Process

WhileKingdom of the Planet of the Apesis streaming on Hulu, meaning viewers can already watch the film from home, the no CGI version coming out will offer a very different experience. As shown in the clip, the actors still have to stay in character while wearing their rigs, performing in spaces that are much emptier than the film’s final cut. Their performances, however, remain unhindered by their outfits, meaning they still needed to bring their acting prowess to set despite their physical bodies not being in the movie by the end.

Without CGI, the performances in the movie can be observed with more detail, revealing how much the actors still embody their characters without special effects. The same can be said for how they interact with their environments, as this version includes a lack of any computer-generated locations that make up a hefty number of places in the film. The combination of real actors mixed with incomplete sets will no doubt highlight the talent necessary to make the movie come togetherseamlessly by the time post-production rolled around.
