Nikki Bellajust learned what it means to be “Instagram official” with someone.
TheTotal Bellasstar, 35, revealed she got quite a kick out of the reaction because she actually intended for the post to be casual.
“I posted a photo of us because we’re dating and we’re having fun,” Bella told PEOPLE. “Then everyone went (and said) we were official.”
She also joked that twin sister and former WWE SuperstarBrie Bellatook sympathy on her and was quick to explain the gravity of an Instagram picture in the year 2019. “Well, you posted a photo so that makes you official,” Brie said.
WWE Superstar and friendNia Jaxjokingly chimed in: “No, it’s official.”
Still, Nikki insisted she’s “not fully taken.”
Whatever the official relationship status may be, Nikki said she and Chigvintsev are in a good place.
“It’s been great,” she said. “I adore him.”

Fans caught a glimpse of Bella and Chigvintsev the season finale of her E! reality series, which showed the two riding off into the sunset on a motorcycle. The action-packed episode also featured Nikki announcing that she will join Brie in retirement from the WWE.
Although the Bellas have decidednot to return to E!’sTotal Divas, they will continue filmingTotal Bella’s,and fans can only hope for more scenes with Nikki and Chigvintsev.
Nikki’s romance with Chigvintsev is her first since her very public breakup with former WWE Superstar John Cena.
The stars gotengagedon live television during a Wrestlemania match in April 2017, then called off the nuptials just weeks before their wedding date. Soon after, Bella tweeted out a statement addressing the end of their six-year relationship.

The aftermath of the split and Nikki’s efforts to move on from her ex-fiancé played out onTotal Bellas.Nikki previously revealed in an episode that seeing Cena withsomeone new “would kill her.”
Recently, Cena was spotted hand-in-hand with a mystery woman and the Bellas had a lot to say about it. Nikki and Brie revealed fans can expect to hear a full rundown — and plenty of opinions — about the situation onthis week’s episode of their podcast, a project they say captures the “raw” and “unfiltered” Bella Twins.
“The (episode) that’s coming out this week is like mind-blowing,” Nikki told PEOPLE on Friday.
“Brie and I, we feel like we’ve always kind of been edited. (The podcast) is a legit happy hour with the Bellas. Like what we talk about when we go have wine,” she teased.
