A brand newCyberpunk 2077game has launched a crowdfunding campaign, and completely crushed its goal within minutes. There are 17 days remaining in the funding campaign, with the game easily on track to reach 1000% of its funding goal.

Cyberpunk 2077 - The Board Gamelaunched onGameFoundtoday, with a funding goal of $100,000. The board game is being developed by Go On Board, the board game company that was behind the successfulTheWitcherboard games. As of the time of this writing,the campaign has accumulated nearly a million dollars from more than 4,500 backers, and counting.

CD Projekt Red’s officialCyberpunk 2077account has also shared an awesome trailer for the board game on X (formerly Twitter). The trailer gives a glimpse of how the game plays, presented with animations that bring it to life. Character pieces are shown moving through the game board, spurred on by game cards, guide books, and other game pieces.

The Cyberpunk 2077 Board Game Will Have Over 30 Hours of Gameplay

The board game takes 1–4 players to Night City in an experience that’s described as a “fast-paced, cooperative, story-driven tactical action game.” The game will allow players to play as their favoriteCyberpunk 2077characters, stepping into the shoes of V, Panam, Jackie, or Judy. Each session takes about an hour to an hour and a half, but the game promises over 30 hours of gameplay in the campaign, and “endless” missions fromCyberpunk 2077’s iconic bar and nightclub, Afterlife. The board game branches off from the video game, changing one key moment to create a completely new story in the game’s world.

Cyberpunk 2077 - The Board Gamewill come with five playable characters, 13 missions, 16 enemies, one boss, and the Afterlife Mission Generator. It will also include many beautifully designed components, including several mission boards, tiles, and tokens, and a whopping 348 game cards. A full-color, 30-page Night City Map book will include information on over 50 locations.

Due to the early success of the crowdfunding campaign, the first stretch goal has already been revealed (and immediately backed). The goal introducesfamed2077character Johny Silverhandto the board game, adding a miniature to the deluxe edition, an action card, a token, and two track cards. Stretch goals will be released to backers, but will be released as paid expansions for fans who didn’t back the campaign.

The developmentteam has given fans a reason to opt-in early: anyone who backs the game on the first day will receive an exclusive gift, a version of V sporting Mantis Blades, in the form of a miniature, an ID card, and two action cards. The standard edition ofCyberpunk 2077- The Board Gamewill cost $79 on release, and the deluxe edition will expand on the game with additional components and cost $139.
