Ghostface Looks Fantastic In Mortal Kombat 1

Even If They’re Severely Outmatched

Ghostface is arguably one of the most iconic horror villains of all time, joined by the likes of Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger, both of whom have also appeared as guest fighters in previousMortal Kombatgames. NetherRealm has yet to show off the character’s move set in great detail buttheir one confirmed Fatality does follow a common theme of theScreammovies by including a second Ghostface killer. Whether this sidekick also serves a role in their standard kit remains to be seen but, it’s not hard to see that being the case.

As excited asScreamfans are to play as Ghostface inMortal Kombat 1, some have voiced their confusion around his inclusion. Despite the character’s notoriety, they’re just a person in a costume who doesn’t have any supernatural powers, making it odd to imagine them going up against someone like Raiden, Sub-Zero, or even Johnny Cage.Players will just have to suspend their disbelief at seeing Ghostface win in a fight against someone like Noob Saibotor Ermac.

Ghostface Should Be A Lot Of Fun

Especially For Scream Fans

Speaking as a massiveScreamfan who doesn’t care too much forMortal Kombat 1,I’m excited to see how Ghostface is included in the game. The character’s first Fatalitywas plenty of fun and featured several references to the movies, so I’m excited to see what else NetherRealm has in store.I likely won’t play the gamepurely for Ghostface but I’m glad that the crossover is happening regardless.
