Check out Stahelski’s comments below:

Michael B. Jordan is one of my favorite cast members that I’ve had to develop or work with. He’s a fantastic guy, tons of energy. I think he’s got so much potential, not just in the action genre…Rainbow Six. It’s a big property. It comes from a big IP. So it’s, you know, the development to do it right. You’ve seen how both video games and in Hollywood are sometimes tricky. It’s always about doing it right and finding the right [angle], so it gives room for the fans to love what you’re doing. But also you have to give margin to expand out and go. We’re taking our time. A lot of good ideas are being flushed around. It’s been a lot of good development work. We just want to get it right.
What This Means For Rainbow Six’s Adaptation Process
The Source Material Isn’t A Straightforward One To Translate
Stahelski’s update underscores the significant effort being put intothe evolution ofRainbow Six, with an emphasis on staying true to the essence of the original series. His focus on making sure the adaptation stays true to the source material suggests that the filmmakers are not rushing this project, and instead prioritizing a thoughtful approach to it. This is an important step in adapting a complex work likeRainbow Six, where boththe intricate plot and the action elements need careful attention to detail.
Moreover, by taking the time to refine the film’s script and creative direction, the production team is aiming to ensure that the movie captures the depth and complexity of Tom Clancy’s world. Stahelski’s commentsindicate a desire to respect the source material while still finding room for creative expansion, which could lead to a more engaging and well-rounded adaptation. This is all the more pertinent consideringWithout Remorsewas met with middling reviewsupon its release, and fellow Clancy franchise,Jack Ryan, is about to make a comeback with John Krasinski’s movie expansion of the show.

How Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse Connects to Jack Ryan
Without Remorse kicks off a separate side of Tom Clancy’s universe starring Michael B. Jordan but there are some interesting ties to Jack Ryan.
Stahelski’s remarks places emphasis on the challenges of adapting a beloved literary franchise, where maintaining pre-established themes while expanding the narrative is key to success. The effort to refine ideas and make sure every aspect is done rightsignals that the filmmakers are dedicated to delivering a quality film, one that resonates with those who enjoy the books and new audiences it may bring.
