Every New Map In Marvel Rivals Season 1 Explained
Marvel Rivals is getting three new maps during its first-ever season: Sanctum Sanctorum, Midtown, and Central Park. Here’s what to expect.
The theme is dark, vampiric, and almost macabre, bringing several new missions to conquer within the Midnight Features event. As if that wasn’t enough content to take on, there is also a new arcade game mode, Doom Match, that takes everything fans know aboutMarvel Rivalsand flips it on its head. The rules of the new 12-player mode are simple; defeat enemies within Sanctum Santorum to earn points, and the top 50% of players end the match with a win. One key note about this new mode is that Dr. Strange will not have his Pentagram of Farallah ability, and Invisible Woman’s ultimate will not be usable in the new mode.

Our Take: The Amount Of Content And Costumes Is Quite Extraordinary
They Really Thought Of Everything In Season One
The sheer amount of new hero costumes is nothing to scoff at, as there are plenty to choose from to suit a player’s needs. Loki has received a very interesting costume that is not only creepy looking, but the All-Butcher costume fits the overall theme of the season. One notable change has nothing to do with cosmetics, as competitive players have received a new rank to achieve. The Celestial rank lies right between Grandmaster and Eternity, and those who rank up to Gold Tier this season will receive a new Invisible Woman skin, Blood Shield.
Several heroes have also gottena few nerfs and upgrades, as Captain America and Cloak and Dagger have gotten a bit of a boost this time around. Hela and Hawkeye, two heroes known to be a bit overpowered and banned in higher-ranked matches, have received nerfs.

Here are the most notable changes to both Hela and Hawkeye:
