Gabriele Dell’Otto’s variant for the issue shows the two in the heat of battle and Kingpin has never looked more intimidating. Not only does he have the style and brutality of Fisk in Netflix’sDaredevil, but he’s also got the large size of Kingpin fromInto the Spider-Verse.

Terrifying Kingpin Art Takes Cues from Two Classic Versions

TheDaredeviltelevision showwas a hit thanks in no small part to Vincent D’Onofrio’s portrayal of Wilson Fisk. Between his penchant for style and class and the chilling violence he’d display at the drop of a hat, D’Onofrio’s Fisk has been celebrated among fans. But he’s not the only beloved take on Kingpin as a few years later, Liev Schreiber would play Wilson Fisk in the animated filmInto the Spider-Verse. Due to the movie’s cartoony and exaggerated nature,Kingpinwas portrayed as an absolute tankwho was as thick and wide as a Mack Truck.

While the Kingpin is often shown to be bigger than most people, he’s never been a giant like in the animated movie. However, Dell’Otto’s cover does a fantastic job of showing just how horrifying it would be if Fisk actually was as big asSpider-Verse’stake on Kingpin. But what makes it worse is making a Kingpin that big as unhinged as he was in the Netflix series. He was bad enough when he was slightly bigger than an average person. As this cover shows,Kingpin could do some serious damage if he was a giant like hisSpider-Versecounterpart.

Kingpin’s Ultimate Form Would Be an Absolute Nightmare

Thankfully, Earth-616’s Fisk is no bigger than he usually is. But Dell’Otto’s variant is a frightening look at the danger Kingpin could be if he was just slightly influenced by the ones seen inDaredevilandSpider-Verse. Granted, the main Kingpin gets by just fine with his size and level of violence. But if he were even slightly adjusted to be more like the ones from these beloved adaptations, Fisk wouldn’t be just a problem for the Man Without Fear, but the entire Marvel Universe. Fortunately, for now, this version ofKingpinis limited to this amazing variant cover.
