Where You’ve Seen The Actors Before
Though it’s not clear how each of the new actors will factor into the story ofStatham’s action movie, a winning tactic for these films is casting a bigger name actor in the role of the villain. Nighy, who was nominated for Best Actor for his role inLivingin 2023, seems like the most likely candidate to take on the role of the big bad. This also wouldn’t be Nighy’s first time playing a villain, ashe memorably played Davy Jones in twoPirates of the Caribbeanmovies.

Our Take On Statham’s New Action Movie
What Could Separate The Film From Statham’s Other Work In The Genre
From the description of the upcoming film’s plot, it will be par for the course as far as Statham action flicks go. What could set this film apart is not its plot, though, but its setting.Taking place in the beautiful and rugged landscape of Scotland could be an interesting change of pace, since many Statham action films are set in various places around the U.S.
If Nighy is playing the villain, that will be another thing working in the movie’s favor. The British actor was intimidating and empathetic as Davy Jones even though his actual face wasn’t even shown on screen. With production now underway on the newStathamfilm, more details will hopefully emerge over the coming weeks.
