In the fourth episode ofAniplex After Hours, hosted by the musician Sally Amaki, fans got to see an in-depth look into Studio A-1 Pictures, the studio behindSolo Levelingand other hits such asMagiandSword Art Online.
During the video, Amaki meets up with animators Atsushi Yonezawa and Kaito Hashimoto, storyboard artist and episode director Takayuki Kikuchi, and computer graphics director Toshitaka Morioka. One standout moment is whenSolo Levelingproducer Atsushi Kaneko claims that, after the premiere of season 2’s finale,he does not know what the future will be and that he is unsure whether the anime will continue or not.

He himself wishes the anime will return for a third season and that fans should look forward to the finale. While the specter of production delays or circumstances outside any creatives' control looms over any anime project, A-1’s hard work has made the prospects of season 3 incredibly likely.
