Monster Hunter Wildshas so many materials and unique items that it can be overwhelming to know which are even worth your time to gather. While the naming scheme certainly doesn’t help things,trade items like the Ancient Wyvern Coins are incredibly valuable to collect. Being used for a wide range of trades with the WudWuds in the Scarlet Forest, Ancient Wyvern Coins never stop being a worthwhile investment inWilds.
Ancient Wyvern Coins themselves can be found in the environment in two ways. Some are easy to spot shining on the ground, while others can be acquired by capturing the shy Coin Crabs. Unlike the static relics,Coin Crabs are quick to hide when spotted, requiring fast use of the Bug Net or disguising yourself with the Ghillie Mantle.Regardless of what item you’re farming for inWilds, it’s also worth using your binoculars to check for anycrown-sized monsters, helping you fill out your logbook without too much of a time investment.
Where To Farm Ancient Wyvern Coins
The Best Route To Make The Most Of Your Time
The very first step to farming for Ancient Wyvern Coins inMonster Hunter Wildsis to set the weather conditions in the Scarlet Forest to Plenty and Morning, offering the best chances of the items spawning. You’ll also need to create pop-up camps for Area 8: Underground Lake and Area 6: Flowering Rocks, as well as Area 8: Gap in Rubble for the Ruins of Wyveria to significantly reduce time in between runs. Each of these camps also makes forfantastic fishing spots, and I’ve found them generally useful for gathering endeavors.
Both hidden pools next to the Scarlet Forest camps have a significant amount of Goldenfish and Platinumfish, making it a fantastic source of Zenny and Guild Points while you’re in the area.
After completing the preparations, start by traveling to Area 8 of the forest. A Coin Crab can potentially spawn on the outcrop to the right, and you can check to see if an Ancient Wyvern Coin spawned on the rocks across the cave. After checking the two spots, ride your Seikret out of the cave and up the tree in the center of Area 8, where a single Coin spawn is located in the middle mound. If you stand slightly away from the water’s edge or on your Seikret, you can grab the underwater Ancient Coins without having to swim.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Monster List (Habitats, Requirements, Difficulty)
Nearly 50 different monsters are present in the ecosystems of Monster Hunter Wilds, with each having unique habitats and behaviors for you to learn.
After checking these three spots, fast-travel to the Area 6 campsite and check in front of the small overgrown pond for another Coin Crab before turning left and checking the hidden pool for a waterlogged Ancient Wyvern Coin.Once you’ve checked all these spots, simply travel over to the Ruins of Wyveria Area 8 camp and check the bone pile to the left for a Coin Crab.After fast-traveling back to the Scarlet Forest, the spawns will have reset, letting you attempt the loop again.
Plenty Of Rewards For Your Dedicated Farming
The environment isn’t the only way to collect the rare trading item either, asAncient Wyvern Coins are also available for purchase with Rove in his tent in Area 20 of the Iceshard Cliffs.While the trade tables are random, the most reliable way to reset them is by changing the weather and time of day before checking back to see if they have any valuable items worth your interest.
