AsZenless Zone Zeroprepares for update 1.4, Miyabi and her dual element will change the gacha game forever.Zenlesshas finally begun introducing the players to the highly-anticipated Section 6 group. One member, Soukaku, has been playable since release, while 1.3 added the Electric Anomaly unit, Yanagi. Unfortunately, the second half of 1.3 will be finishing the Sons Of Calydon faction with the Stun unit Lighter.
Miyabi herself will be an Anomaly unit, which is good, featuring that they have taken over the meta. With the subsequent releases of Jane Doe, Burnice, and Yanagi, Anomaly and Disorder damage has risen to the top. Hunt units like Ellen, Zhu Yuan, and the upcomingZenless Zone Zero1.4 Harumasa character bannerare still viable, but not as effective.

How Miyabi’s Dual Element Works
Embracing Winter’s Wraith With Frost
Miyabi is officially listed as using the Ice Element but uses a unique type called Frost, which combines Ice with Fire. This is shown best by her attribute symbol, which takes the base form of the Ice Element but adds aspects of the Fire symbol. Her kit has been leaked online, and while the numbers may change a bit, the core playstyle is unlikely to change.
Miyabi will largely play around her passive Cold Flame, which has many different effects. To begin, any enemy she attacks will be inflicted with Iceflame, and targets with Iceflame will build up Miyabi’s Anomaly faster while increasing her Crit Rate. Enemies with Iceflame will also have a separate Anomaly gauge for Miyabi, which will make them enter the Frostburn state when filled. In this state, they will take a large initial burst of damage from Miyabi and have increased Anomaly buildup for any ally of Miyabi’s.

Outside the passive, Miyabi’s kit is relatively simple, with the only other high-importance part being her Frost Moon Stance. This is her charged basic attack that does more damage depending on how many Frostfall stacks, max of six, she has. Overall, it seems like Miyabi is shaping up to be similar toJane Doe and her best buildin being a hybrid on-field main DPS unit whose kit heavily relies on Anomaly damage. Early predictions suggest that Yanagi will synergize well for dual DPS teams, while Burnice will be the best pick for on-field Miyabi-focused teams.
How Dual Elements Will Change Zenless Zone Zero
A Growing Power In ZZZ That Could Affect More Characters
Dual-element characters will likely go one of two ways. They will either be rarely used and reserved for some of the strongest characters of the universe, which Miyabi has been described to be, or given out more regularly. Given the extreme strength Miyabi sounds to have, the former would be the more likely option. This would be akin to how every nation ofGenshin Impacthas the playable Archon who is incredibly strong.
Zenless Zone Zero: Nicole Trust Event Answers & Rewards
Here are all of the correct Nicole Trust Answers in Zenless Zone Zero, along with the helpful rewards you get for each Trust Level increase.
However, if the latter method was used, it could be a huge boon for the game. Proper balance would be a necessity, so dual elements don’t overpower single-element characters, but the potential is massive.Future units could combine the different elements into new alchemical and environmental creations that one would never imagine fitting at first glance. Fire and Ice may be an obvious one, but the idea of Electric and Ether could also combine well, along with the chance of more elements enteringZenlessin the future.

Could Other Characters Learn A Second Element?
Possible The Three Original Cunning Hares: Nicole, Billy, & Anby
Since most characters beyond Miyabi are unknown or in flux, it is hard to predict who the next dual-element unit could be.The other option is whetherZenlesswill follow the trend of releasing characters in a new form. This is something thatGenshinhas avoided, but bothHonkaigames have utilized. IfZenlessdoes go this route, there are more options open to it for dual-element upgrades.
The most likely and obvious options would be the three original Cunning Hares: Nicole, Billy, and Anby. These three, so far, have held major importance in the overarching story, and will likely continue to pop in frequently. Gameplay-wise, Billy and Anby are also some of the least-used units now that stronger options have appeared.Nicole’s best build inZenless Zone Zerostill has her as the top Ether support, but she will likely be dethroned in the near future.

Overall, whether they are rare or common, dual-element units are a great sign forZenless. It shows that the team is already preparing ways for the game to evolve and be more creative than its sibling games. How they are used, and their strength will be a big question, but one HoYoverse has navigated rather cleanly before. Regardless,Zenless Zone Zero’s first dual-element agent, Miyabi, will forever change the future of the fast-paced action game.
