Sprayfeather Gill is a new Local Specialty from the region of Natlan, added with Version 5.0. These materials are found in a very specific area of the Nation of Pyro, so you may’t simply run around the map without a direction and expect to find them everywhere. Sprayfeather Gill is an important part ofMualani’s Ascension materials inGenshin Impact, and they are necessary in case you want to take her to level 90.
This process, in turn, will allow you to start working on her build and optimizing Mualani as a main Hydro DPS. As is the case with most Local Specialties, Sprayfeather Gills are extremely limited on the map, especially when compared to how many a character consumes during their entire Ascension. Furthermore, as a Local Specialty, Sprayfeather Gill takes 48 hours in real life to respawn, meaning you will have to wait for them to appear again. As such, it is best to optimize your Sprayfeather Gill farming and try to obtain as much as you can inGenshin Impact.

As is shown in the official interactive map onHoYoLAB,there are 73 nodes of Sprayfeather Gill as of Version 5.0. All of these Local Specialties are concentrated in the Toyac Springs subregion of Natlan, known for its vivid bodies of water. For further reference, this is where you will encounter the People of the Springs tribe and the Koholasauri saurians. The largest concentration of Sprayfeather Gills is located along the shores of Ameyalco Waters, especially near the central lake that composes the area inGenshin Impact. There are also a few near the local tribe.

How To Get More Sanctifying Elixir In Genshin Impact
Sanctifying Elixir is a rare item in Genshin Impact that allows you to craft Artifacts and select both their main stat and up to two sub-stats.
What I’ve found extremely helpful in my farming expeditions is turning on the item tracker, which highlights Sprayfeather Gills’ locations on the mini-map. To do this, you’re able to open your inventory (assuming you have at least one copy of the Local Specialty) and click on the Go To Collect button. Trace Your Farming Routes Based On The Clusters Of The Material
You can start your farming efforts from the People of the Springs tribeand move eastward. On the shore opposite the tribe, you will find a cluster of four Sprayfeather Gill. Moving further south along the shoreline, you can find three more of these Local Specialties. Moving eastward once again and entering the zone between two peninsulas, you can find some more of these items. From here, you should proceed further east to the opposite peninsula. There, you will find more clusters on both that piece of land and two nearby islands.
To navigate between these aquatic locations with more ease, you should follow my steps and indwell a Koholasaurus, one of theSaurian types inGenshin Impact5.0. This can significantly improve the pace of your exploration.
From here, the best route is to move northward. This will take you to the large lake in the center of the Amayalco Waters. This entire zone is filled with Sprayfeather Gill on its shores.I found it to be helpful to move in a zigzag pattern across the lake, following the visual guide of each of the clusters of Sprayfeather Gill until I cleaned the area. There are severalNatlan enemies fromGenshin Impact5.0across this zone, so be wary to not take damage from them in case you opt to not fight them.
Another thing to be wary about is that if you are not using a Koholasaurus, you are at the risk of drowning when swimming across water since this is not Fontaine.
All New Craftable Weapons In Genshin Impact 5.0
Five new free and craftable weapons have been added to Genshin Impact 5.0’s Natlan region, and each of them is spectacular in its own way.
Once you clear the central part of Amayalco Waters, you should not forget to move further north, as there are still a few more clusters of Sprayfeather Gill nodes to collect, some of which are very subtly placed along the shores. After this, the rest of the nodes become a little bit more complicated to farm. As such,I highly recommend completing the Tale of Dreams Plucked From Fire World Quest. Doing so will unlock the special floating locations where you will be able to pluck more Sprayfeather Gill inGenshin Impact.
By progressing through the questline, which is entirely centered around finding a special and hidden island in Natlan’s history, you will eventually unlock the Spiritways that lead to the floating islands. Along these several islands, you will encounter nodes of Sprayfeather Gill. The locations of these items are more clearly seen in the map’s multi-layered version since it will highlight the floating island from the regular map.you may expect to find 17 out of the 73 total in these floating islands above Toyac Springs, so it is best to unlock access to them as early as you can.
As of Version 5.0, only Mualani uses Sprayfeather Gill as the Local Specialty in her Ascension process. However,it is quite probable and even likely that some future character releases from Natlan will also use the material. If you intend on grabbing any otherNatlan character inGenshin Impact, it may be wise to pre-farm these Sprayfeather Gill while the leaks do not detail which characters will use what materials.
This is the best route to follow when farming Sprayfeather Gill. Seeing that the ones located in the multi-layered portion of the map require some extra work, it is best to leave them last and focus on farming all that you can from the freely explorable areas of Toyac Springs. It is uncertain if more nodes of Sprayfeather Gill will be added as Natlan expands, but given there are already 73 nodes and Local Specialties tend to be limited, probably, all your farming will always be concentrated in this area inGenshin Impact.
