Zhongli’s leaked new Envisaged Echo inGenshin Impacthas just undergone a massive change in the beta tests that can nearly be compared to a buff. Echoes are a cosmetic trait that was added to the game recently, shortly after the debut of the Imaginarium Theater game mode. In fact, these Echoes can only be obtained by participating in special trials within the activity. Echoes are commonly referred to ascharacter trails inGenshin Impactdue to the visual effect they cause on whichever character they are unlocked for.
Envisaged Echoes leave a trail behind the characters as they move around. So far, only a few characters have access to these Echoes, and these trails all contain visual effects that are somewhat related to the character’s abilities, backstories, or elements. Diluc, for example, leaves behind a trail of flames as he runs around. Now, it seems like two characters will get Echoes in Version 5.1.Zhongli’s trail inGenshin Impact5.1is rumored to be one of them but it just underwent a massive change to its design and length, as seen in recent leaks.

Keqing’s Leaked Trail Can Also Be Seen
The leaked Envisaged Echo for Zhongli apparently got a bit longer. A new video, which was obtained by the leaker known as Flying Flame, and then shared in a post onReddit, highlights the new visual effect for Zhongli’s trail. The visual effect’s length has been significantly increased since the initial leak and, from what it seems, its entire design has actually changed. The first leaks showed that Zhongli’s Echo left a trail of Geo sigils, similar to those seen across ancient Adeptus constructions in Liyue, such as the seal protecting Cloud Retainer’s domain inGenshin Impact.
Zhongli’s rumored Echo may be longer than the regular trails, as can be seen from the comparison with Keqing’s leaked Echo in the footage.
Zhongli’s Leaked Echo In Genshin Impact 5.1 Resembles Morax’s Exuvia Form
The main design change in Zhongli’s Echo is the replacement of the sigils for a scale-like effect. These scales seem to resemble those on Morax’s Exuvia form. During the first few missions in Liyue, Travelers can witness Rex Lapis’ alleged death, as his Exuvia form comes tumbling down, lifeless. This dragon-like creature has scales across its body, and it seems like the leaked Echo for Zhongli is replicating that part of the Geo Archon’s identity inGenshin Impact.
Keqing’s leaked Envisaged Echo, which also appears in the video highlighting Zhongli’s rumored Echo, leaves behind a purple trail and some purple flowers as she runs around the area. Based on the initial leak,it does not seem like Keqing’s upcoming Echo has changed too much, especially when put side-by-side with the changes that have occurred to Zhongli’s character trail inGenshin Impact.

Despite the reliability of the leaker and the credibility of the footage itself, these leaks should be considered with caution. The information may be incorrect or subject to more changes ahead of the release of the final content in Version 5.1. Nonetheless, if the new Envisaged Echo leaks are true, the details about them should be confirmed during theGenshin Impact5.1 livestream, expected to occur in late September.
