Possible Hints For Upcoming Cards
The new Lisia and Ali design appears on three new items of merch: a playmat, aPokémonTCG deck box, and a card sleeve. The new merch drop also reveals a Latias and Latios deck box and card sleeve, as well as an Alolan Exeggutor box and sleeve. Drayton of the Elite 4 fromPokémon Scarlet and Violetalso makes an appearance on a sleeve. The card sleeve shows his Haxorus and Archaludon in the background.
All the new designs heavily feature dragon-type Pokémon, fittingly for the dragon-centric expansion ofParadise Dragona. The cards may also be hinting at what Ex forms to expect in the set. Latias and Alolan Exeggutor have already been confirmed to have Ex forms in the upcoming set. This makes it likely that one of the other dragon-type Pokémon depicted in the new merch will also get Ex forms. Since Altaria and Archaludon are already known to be coming as new regular cards,it’s possible that a Haxorus Ex card will appear in the coming expansion set.

TheParadise Dragonaset of new cards and accessories launches in Japan on September 13. Most of the cards in the set and accompanyingPokémon Trading Card Gameaccessories will bereleased in the West as part of theSurging Sparksseton November 8. Pokémon TCG fans will also be getting some new packs in Fall 2024, includingthe ghostlyTrick or Tradecard setand the annual release of the Fall Collector’s Chest.
