Summary
AnElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtreeplayer has found the most ridiculous possible way to instakill the DLC’s final boss. The dual-phasefight against Promised Consort RadahnandRadahn, Consort of Miquella has given players no shortage of trouble sinceShadow of the Erdtreefirst came out. With his enormous damage output and inscrutable moveset, many now rightfully consider Radahn’s rematch thehardest boss fight inElden Ring. Attempts to find a viable way to cheese Radahn have thus far ended in failure, with many players' advice amounting to a shrug and a prayer.
But a streamer who goes by the name ofDr. Dooton Twitch and X (formerly Twitter) seems to have found a way to beatPromised Consort Radahnwithout even touching him. The strategy involves clever use of theMimic’s Veil, an item that transforms the player into an inanimate object from their surroundings - in this case, a statue of a lion. With a combination of this and certain other invisibility spells,Dr. Doot manages to hide his character entirely, to the point that Radahn simply doesn’t notice him. The boss then just walks away into the sunset, ending the fight almost instantly.

As if it weren’t absurd enough already, yes, Dr. Doot is doing all this with an electric saxophone. This is his shtick: he claims to be the first person in the world to have completed a no-hit run ofElden Ringwith a non-traditional controller. He’s currently working on a no-hit run of the DLC, and has so far gotten down to 11 total hits taken across the entirety ofShadow of the Erdtree. He intends to use this Radahn cheese strategy in order to finish the run. The saxophone isn’t necessary to cheese Radahn, though - it’s just an added bonus.

How The Mimic’s Veil Radahn Cheese Works In Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree
How To Cheese Promised Consort Radahn
It may seem simple, butthere are actually several factors in play in this Radahn cheese strategy. First, players may notice that Dr. Doot seems to cast a spell the moment the battle begins. This isUnseen Form, a night sorcery spell that makes the caster partially invisible, increasing the range at which they can remain unseen by enemies. He also has a weapon with theAsh of War: Assassin’s Gambitequipped on it - this is another simple spell that helps conceal the player’s presence. So, while the Mimic’s Veil is the most obvious item in the video above, players will need all three strategies to cheese Radahn properly.
Unseen Form can be found on Altus Plateau aftersolving the Mirage Rise puzzle, and Assassin’s Gambit can be purchased fromKnight Bernahlin Volcano Manor. TheMimic’s Veilis located in Stormveil Castle, nearest the Rampart Tower Site of Grace.

Other players, such asCellon YouTube, elaborate on a similar, but slightly different, strategy. This one involves usingHefty Rot PotsandHefty Poison Potsto deplete Radahn’s HP, before using concealing spells and the Mimic’s Veil right before his phase-two cutscene. TheHefty Pots deal area-of-effect damage to Radahn without actually alerting himto the player’s presence. However, this doesn’t actually appear to be necessary; in Dr. Doot’s video, Radahn is apparently at full HP before the Mimic’s Veil is activated. It appears Radahn’s first-phase HP can be depleted in much the same as the second: by simply hiding, and waiting for him to leave.
So, while it requires a lot of preparation, players finally have a reliable strategy for beating Radahn. Those at a loss withElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree’s ultimate battle finally have a way around it - at least until it gets patched out.

Elden Ring
Elden Ring is a popular game released by From Software, creators of games such as Armored Core, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne. Players assume the role of a Tarnished, a being once exiled to the Lands Between and has returned to repair the Elden Ring after the events of “The Shattering.” “The Shattering” occurred when the offspring of Queen Marika battled to claim the shards of the Elden Ring, known as Great Runes. Their war has brought lawlessness, destruction, and chaos to the land, and the player will challenge them with the assistance of a Maiden known as Melina as they travel towards the great Erd Tree to face their destiny and to become the one true Elden Lord. Players can tackle the game how they choose and can adventure across realms as they build their character how they want - be it a powerful magic caster or a brutal swordsman - they will have complete control over their build.
