Caddo Lake Repeats The Same Time Paradox As Netflix’s Dark
Dark’s Big Twist Was The Same As Caddo Lake’s
Caddo Lake’s big twist is about a specific area of the lake where a portal opens during droughts. This portal takes whoever crosses it back and forth in time, to years when other droughts happened. Anna accidentally crosses the portal while trying to get to the house of Ellie’s friend, and she is taken back to 1952. When Paris crosses the portal, he also goes back to 1952, where he finds a wounded Anna and takes her to safety. By doing this, Anna is left in the past and goes on to become Paris’ mother.
At the end of season 1 of Dark, it’s revealed that Mikkel accidentally crossed a portal that took him back to 1986, and went on to become Jonas’ father.

When Ellie crosses the portal, she goes back to 2003, where she comes across her mother, Celeste, and herself as a baby, revealing that Paris is Ellie’s father, and soAnna is not only Ellie’s stepsister but also her grandmother. This is the same time paradox used in Netflix’sDark, which begins with the disappearance of a young boy named Mikkel. At the end of season 1, it’s revealed that Mikkel accidentally crossed a portal that took him back to 1986, and went on to become Jonas’ father – and that makes Jonas’ relationships more complicated, especially with his crush Martha, who is actually his aunt.
Caddo Lake’s Time Paradox Twist Leaves A Huge Question (That Dark Eventually Answered)
Caddo Lakefocuses only on the time paradox in the family of Paris and Ellie, butleaves questions about whether other families in town are also connected through time paradoxesor not. It would be hard to believe that only Anna, Paris, and Ellie went through the portal at the lake, so there could be more shocking connections between town residents and their families. However, this will remain unsolved asCaddo Lakealready told its story, butDarkhad the chance to go deeper into this thanks to it getting two more seasons.
Biggest Questions After The Dark Series Finale
The final season of Dark has arrived, and while the ending of the show explained many of its mysteries, there still a few questions left to answer.
Pretty much every main character inDarkwas connected to others through time paradoxes, creating a complex but rich world with many sci-fi elements. AsCaddo Lakehas the same twist asDark(though, instead of being in the woods, the portal was in the lake and only during droughts), it could be possible that the rest of the town’s residents are linked to each other through complex paradoxes, making the town around the lake a very complex but interesting one.
