8Dragon Ball DAIMA Has The Most Redeemable Antagonists Around

Arinsu, Majin Duu, And Majin Kuu Are Good Guys Towards The End Of The Series

Dragon Ball DAIMAhas a few different antagonists. At first, the villains are clear. Gomah and Degesu invade the human realm and, with the help of the legendary Namekian Neva, gather the Dragon Balls and return the Z Fighters to their states as children. Gomah and Degesu are the main antagonists of the series and don’t do much to redeem themselves either. Arinsu, Supreme Kai’s sister, reveals herself to be antagonistic towards the beginning of the series as well, but her character arc is much different than the Supreme Demon King’s.

Arinsu wants to gather the Demon Realm’s Dragon Balls for her own selfish desires as well, creating Majin Duu and Majin Kuu to help her. Glorio, Goku’s guide, is also working with Arinsu, colluding to steal the Dragon Balls from the Z Fighters and to deliver them to her. At the end of the series, however,Arinsu’s camp redeems themselves entirely.Majin Duu, Majin Kuu, Glorio, and even Arinsu herself side with the Z Fighters, taking down Gomah once and for all.

7Major Backstories Are Explored

The Namekians And The Backstory Of The Glinds Are Finally Revealed

Dragon Ballis one ofthe best anime series of all time, mainly for its action sequences. As a series known for crazy explosions, high-speed fights, and all types of action, lore has never been that crucial.Dragon Ball DAIMAdoes something a little different byputting the series' lore towards the top of the priority list, and its efforts paid off.

The series also took a look at the backstory of both the Namekians and the Glinds, Supreme Kai’s race. It also revealed a new side of Majin Buu, showing that Bibidi wasn’t his true creator, but a native of the Demon Realm instead. The Namekians weren’t native to their planet Namek. Instead, they actually came from the Demon Realm, leaving when the conditions weren’t suitable for them anymore.

Glinds are closer to plants than people, asDAIMAexplains. Supreme Kai, Arinsu, and Degesu actually come from one of five Glind Trees. They’re all siblings, not because they have the same parents, but because they came from the same tree. Majin Buu wasactually created by Marba, a Majin from the Demon Realm. It’s an interesting turn of events that adds toDragon Ballas a series, creating some much-needed depth in a franchise that’s all about fighting.

6DAIMA Explores A Completely New Area

Dragon Ball Has Never Taken A Look At The Demon Realm

The Demon Realm has never been explored inDragon Ball. Not only was it not explored, it was completely nonexistent in the canon. The Demon Realm was both an exciting place to visit, and a location filled with a deep history that added a lot to theDragon Ballcanon. The Demon Realm was the home of former Supreme Demon King Dabura, Babidi’s helper and a strong foe during the Buu Saga ofDragon Ball Z.

The Demon Realm itself is incredibly intriguing.DAIMAwas at its best when the gang was exploring the uncharted territory, taking a look at each of the three Demon Worlds, using Warp-Sama to get around, and even eating bugs to rejuvenate lost energy. The series even introduceda monster that neither Goku nor Vegetacould take down, showing the true scope of the Demon Realm.

5A New Side Of Vegeta Is Explored

Vegeta Has Never Been Funnier Than In Dragon Ball DAIMA

Vegeta has almost always been second to Goku in a number of ways. While he didn’t achieve Super Saiyan 4 like Goku did, he had a few of his best moments as a character. He’s easilythe toughest Saiyan inDragon Ball,Dragon Ball DAIMAshowed Vegeta at his funniest. He might have had the funniest moments in the entire series.

Vegeta has never backed down from a fight. Even fighting much stronger opponents like Frieza on Namek or Beerus after he hits Bulma, Vegeta is willing to brawl with the best of them. He’s especially not one to share either, and when he’s losing to Gomah, he tells Goku he’d rather die than back out. Bulma, one of the smartest characters inDragon Ball, comes up with a quick plan and tells Vegeta that if he doesn’t back out, she’ll never bathe with him again.

Vegeta couldn’t have left the fight faster. It was a hilarious, somewhat heartwarming moment that showed where his true priorities lie. The series doesn’t let up on the laughs, as even towards the end, Vegeta tells Goku that he didn’t transform into Super Saiyan 3, but rather ‘Ultra Vegeta 1’.

4The Tamagami Aren’t Real Enemies

They’re Tests Of Strength That Bring Characters' Strengths To The Forefront

The Tamagamis are three of the best antagonists inDragon Ball DAIMAbecausethey aren’t actually antagonists. They’re three caretakers created to protect the Demon Realms' Dragon Balls, ensuring that whoever wants them must be worthy of using them. Each of the three Tamagamis are responsible for some of the best fights in the series, pushing the Z Fighters to their limits on more than one occasion.

Dragon Ballis at its best when Goku and his friends are fighting, but they don’t always have to be fighting their enemies. Sometimes, it can be just as fun to see Goku and the gang take on a powerful opponent without any animosity, showcasing amazing battles and still being able to be friends afterward. The Tamagamis were just that. Tamagami Number One even joined the gang at Neva’s behest when they were taking on Gomah, showing that they weren’t enemies in the first place.
