Doomsday is a literal monster, and much to Superman’s dismay, he’s proven over the decades that he’s not just a monster, but also a god.
Doomsday eventually killed his creators and left Krypton to rage across the universe. Arriving at the planet Calaton, Doomsday laid waste to that world for over three years.
