Created by James McNamara, David Maher and David Taylor, the Hulu series serves as a sequel to Charles Dickens’Oliver Twist. The show stars Thomas Brodie-Sangster as the eponymous thief, Jack Dawson, and follows the character as he struggles to balance his double life as a surgeon in Australia in the 1850s. After earning positive reviews,The Artful Dodgerseason 2was confirmed last November.
The AustralianDisney+Instagram account now shares a new photo from the Australian set ofThe Artful Dodgerseason 2, confirming thatprincipal photography has started on the show’s sophomore outing. Season 1, which consists of eight episodes, is reported to have taken about five months to film, so it’s possible that season 2 will take about the same amount of time if the episode count is the same. It’s possible, then, thatseason 2 could release this November, the same month season 1 was released in 2023, but it’s likely that it will end up bowing in 2026.
