Harry being alive is great for viewers who enjoyed Slater’s portrayal of James Remar’s original series character. This just means that after a relatively happy ending in theOriginal Sinseason 1 finale,Dexter and Deb will still have to face the tragedy of losing their fatherin season 2 or beyond.

Even though Brian eerily watches them through the restaurant window, the looming death of Harry inOriginal Sinseason 2 or beyond makes the scene even more unsettling. Considering Harry’s true method of death as well,there is an underlying sadness inOriginal Sinseason 1’s ending.
