Destiny 2hosts its fair share of yearly events, with the Solstice and Guardian Games being just one of them; however, each event introduces new rewards, and this year, the Solstice also introduces a new bounty system used to reward Guardians with the yearly armor. In years past, Guardians had to complete the Bonfire Bash activity while wearing solstice armor, but this year, players must complete bountiesand turn them in for currency rewards. Interestingly, developers did not choose to create an event Pathfinder under thenew Pathfinder progression system; instead, they chose to return to tried-and-true bounties.

This bounty system provides randomized bounties for players to earn currency, Alloy, with each armor piece costing 100 Armor Alloy. With five armor pieces per character, that’s quite a few bounties that players must pick up, complete, and then turn in to earn each piece of the armor set. After you’ve earned each piece, you have to complete even more bounties to unlock their special glowing effect. This year’s sets are some of the coolest yet, so what are the best ways to unlock them and make them glow?

Each challenge for the Salvation’s Edge Raid in Destiny 2 will require precise teamwork, as these challenges take a tricky raid and make it harder.

How The Solstice Forge Works

Earn Silver Leaves, Buy And Reroll Bounties, Unlock Armor Using Alloys

Upon launchingDestiny 2after last week’s update, all players will receive a new quest notification telling them to talk to Eva Levante in the Tower. Eva is the event vendor for many ofDestiny 2’s seasonal events, so chat with her in her usual spot. She will give you a quest and the new Solstice Forge, where you’re able to manage and track your event-related materials.

This is also where you will pick up each bounty and purchase your armor pieces.

Once you’ve got the quest, run a few rounds of Bonfire Bash and progress the quest by taking a few steps to unlock the ability to refresh your bounties. This allows you to re-roll the random bounties that appear, so if you don’t like the ones you’re given, grab some Silver Leaves and try again.

Silver Leaves are used to refresh and purchase bounties, though, so make sure you’re not spending too much trying to get the bounty you want. Once you’ve grabbed your bounties, completing and turning them in will reward you with anywhere from five to 50 Alloy, and with each armor piece costing 100 Alloy, you’ve got your work cut out for you.

Best Ways To Earn Armor Alloy Fast

Those 50 Alloy Bounties Are Tempting But Are Often Much Harder

With the difference in rewards for each “tier” of bounty, it’s difficult to know which are the most effective for getting your armor ASAP. Generally, the bounties that reward the most Alloy ask you to play harder endgame content in exchange for your reward. If you’re a veteran player with builds for any scenario, you shouldn’t have too much trouble completing these bounties, but they might take you a while. One “high tier” bounty asks you to complete two raid encounters, so bounties like those can only be completed alone if you’re truly confident in your skill.

If you do hop into a raid, consider trying to complete all the raidchallenges in Salvation’s Edgeto boost your Euphony drop rate.

That being said, you’re able to refresh bounty options as long as you have the Silver Leaves.Grab one or two high-tier bounties and a bunch of lower-level ones that match either the activity you’re picking or the subclass you’re running, and run any playlist activity to earn more Silver Leaves while you do it. This way, you’re completing bounties while also re-stocking your supply of Leaves, making it easier to grab more bounties when your current ones are done.

If you’re running low on Silver Leaves and don’t want to spend time running Gambit, Strikes, or Crucible, there are a few ways around this. Instead of playing with other players, you can load up into a private Crucible match, set the match type to"Zone Control," the match score limit to 25, Super charge rate to max, and pick whichever map is easiest to navigate for you.To ensure your lobby is set up right, check out the settings and info in the YouTube video fromDukeiscool.

This method will also slightly boost your Crucible rank with Shaxx, getting you one step closer to thatgod-roll of Perfect Pitch.

Once loaded into the map, run from zone to zone, capping each one until you reach the requisite 25 score to “win” the map. If you have bounties that require you to make orbs of light, you’re able to cast your super as often as possible to create orbs. This allows you to finish the activity quickly, earning leaves while also giving you a chance to grind out some of those bounties. The Armor system inDestiny 2’s Solstice event has always been a bit of a grind, but you should be glowing in no time with these strategies.
