Last year, Wizards of the Coast released an extensive set of revisions toD&D’s Fifth Edition ruleset, which were rolled out in a new set of core rulebooks. Our Take: 2025 Just Got A Lot More Exciting For D&D Fans
D&D Just Bolstered Its 2025 Slate Of Books
The addition of not one but two new books to the 2025 slate makes this year a lot more intriguing forD&Dfans. I’m particularlyexcited forForgotten Realms Player’s Guide, especially asthe new circle-casting adds fresh mechanics to the game and the subclasses aren’t rehashes of 2014 subclasses.
Dungeons & Dragons has revealed a brand new look for a classic monster, the aboleth, which dates back to the earliest days of the popular TTRPG.

There are also a ton of new player-facing options inEberron: Forge of the Artificer, with the airship rules particularly intriguing.Dungeons & Dragonswill have a lot more books in 2025 than expected, and the expanded slate should thoroughly showcase the suite of revised 5th edition rules in action.
