However, aside from the renewal, not much was revealed about the specifics of the procedural’s upcoming year. Because of this, it’ssurprising that production for season 3 has already started this soon. Granted that the cast has yet to get back on a proper set and begin filming, the fact that they are already doing a table reading this early means that the creatives behind the series have already determined the BAU’s next story.

Now that Paramount+ already has the ball rolling for season 3, the question is whether missing characters such asSpencer Reid can returnas a member of theCriminal Minds: Evolutioncast. There were plans to include him in the past seasons, but Matthew Gray Gubler’s schedule just didn’t line up, hindering his comeback as the BAU’s golden boy.
