Summary
Caraxes has finally gotten a chance to flex his wings after being stuck in Harrenhal in epicHouse of the Dragonart depicting Daemon’s loyal companion. ThroughoutHouse of the Dragonseason 2, the former Rogue Prince was in Harrenhal, assembling an army for the Blacks while weighing whether or not he should betray Rhaenyra. He ends up bending the knee to her, but not before spending the majority of the season at the location. Caraxes was also stuck there, barely seen throughout the new batch of episodes.

What Will Caraxes Do Now That He’s Out Of Harrenhal?
The Dragon Plays A Pivotal Part In The War
Caraxes has been at Harrenhal as Daemon has wrestled with his loyalty, finally able to leave once his bonded Targaryen dedicates his army to Rhaenyra.House of the Dragonseason 2 endswith the army on the march, the war truly ready to begin as conflict finally approaches. As for the dragon himself, he hasn’t had much to do since season 1, something that will no doubt be rectified in season 3. This is especially true given the number of battles he’s expected to participate in.
IfHouse of the Dragonseason 3closely follows George R.R. Martin’sFire & Blood, the source material for the series, then it will involve plenty of action for Daemon’s dragon in the battles to come.This includes a major duel with another important dragon rider on the Greens' side, a defining moment in the war with plenty of important implications moving forward. Finally, Prince Daemon Targaryen officially changes his mind about Rhaenyra’s purpose on the Iron Throne in House of the Dragon’s season 2 finale.
Because of how long he’s been stuck in Harrenhal for, it will be interesting to see Caraxes finally return to the battlefield whenHouse of the Dragoncontinues. This also means some strongly important developments for Daemon as well, whose bond with the dragon will no doubt continue to be highlighted as the war develops. With two more seasons left in the show, it appears there will be much more time to for the dragon to showcase his power as future battles grow more gruesome.
