It is the work ethic that we had putting into these characters and what we put out was entertainment for them, and I just can’t tell you how much love and admiration we get from fans for these two characters. And to see them come back would be great.”
“I mean, it’s an easy one to do because it’s so fun. It’s not like, really, what are you going to do with it? It’s just a lot of heart.”
Everyone Is Open To A Bones Revival, So Why Hasn’t It Happened?
The Show Creator & Deschanel Have Also Chimed In About A Revival
Even though Boreanaz has previously sounded less than excited about revivingBones,he’s notably changed his tune in recent years. He’s said it would bemore realistic than reprising the role of Angel, the vampire with a soul, given that vamps don’t age. Deschanel has also signaled her willingness to return to the role as recently as 2022, but that was the overall general response.
He explained that, although the cast and crew are open to the possibility in general terms, it is a bit complicated due to rights issues after the Disney-Fox merger and the question of which platform the hypothetical revival would stream on.
Given that he was the show’s creator and showrunner for most of the time that the procedural was on the air, Hart Hanson gave a more detailed answer when asked about the revival in 2023. He explained that, although the cast and crew are open to the possibility in general terms, it isa bit complicated due to rights issues after the Disney-Fox mergerand the question of which platform the hypothetical revival would stream on. He also suggested that the actors could only give general responses becausethere hasn’t actually been aBonesrevival script.
