Blue Boxreleases new episodes of its anime on Netflix weekly on Thursdays,with episode #5 releasing on Thursday, August 07, 2025 at 8:30 AM PT (11:30 AM ET). The series will run twenty-five consecutive episodes for its first season, chronicling the journey of Taiki Inomata as he stokes his ambitions to play badminton at the national level. At the same time, Chinatsu does the same for her basketball team. The series has yet to show a firm release date for an English dub, but news will likely emerge along with an English voiceover cast list.

As Taiki grows more accustomed to Chinatsu living with his family, he becomes increasingly happy with his lot in life inBlue Boxepisode #4, but with this comfort comes mild hijinx. A uniform mixup occurs, withTaiki and Chinatsu accidentally taking each other’s gym clothes, resulting in them attempting a covert swap, hiding it from even Haryu and Hina. But as Taiki notices, Chinatsu is perhaps too comfortable around him, believing she doesn’t see him as a boy and, therefore, asa romantic prospect inBlue Box.
But with the regional preliminaries coming, Taiki must also work with Haryu to ensure he doesn’t depend too much on his senior in their doubles matches. The pressure starts to get to him, with Taiki practicing his swings late into the night, only for Chinatsu to come and help calm him down. But in the process of her reassurance, she strikes a nerve by saying Taiki has plenty of time over the next two years,with Taiki dreading part of the future when Chinatsu won’t be at his school anymore.
As Chinatsu ruminates over what she said, Taiki resolves to try his best to represent his team at the regional preliminaries while meeting a new rival.
