How To Counter

Twisting Combo

At any point, the Green-Capped Martialist will attack you with their weapon multiple times, usually flipping, teleporting, or creating a second weapon to make their attacks more lethal.

Learn the dodge timings on each combo attack the boss uses, or use a spell like Immobilize to freeze the Martialist before they can unleash one.

Fire Flares

The Green-Capped Martialist will conjure several fire projectiles that fly toward you.

Dodge to one side to avoid the projectiles or run to one side to get out of their range.

Rolling Fire

After throwing their weapon at you, the Green-Capped Martialist vanishes. The weapon remains, becoming larger and rolling around the battlefield, leaving trails of fire as it tries to hit you.

The weapon will dash at you four to five times, with a brief delay after each. Use this delay to find the weapon in the boss arena and dodge it every time it chases you.

Sudden Parry

The Green-Capped Martialist can stop any one of their physical attacks by placing their weapon upward in a defensive motion. While glowing, this weapon will parry any attack you use.

Simply stop attacking when you see the boss' weapon glow, or else the Martialist will teleport and attack while you recover from getting parried.

Vanish Assault

After any one of their basic physical strikes, the Green-Capped Martialist can instantly disappear and teleport behind you for a sudden strike.

Don’t lock onto the boss to confuse yourself. Instead, roll away after a moment when you see the Martialist teleport to avoid whatever attack is coming.

Charing Focus for heavy attacks will help you win this fight eventually and earn theSpell Bindermagic. This spell lets you enhance the Attack of all your vessels, transformations, and soul skills you’ve collected along your journey. Finishing the Treasure Hunter quest by beating the Green-Capped Martialist inBlack Myth: Wukongwill also let you travel to a secret area tied to the game’s hidden ending.
