Producers are definitely making Danni Warren out to be the villain onBelow Deck Sailing Yacht, and it proves they don’t actually care about the cast of the hit Bravo series.Below Deck Sailing Yachtseason 5is well underway, and there’s plenty of trouble bubbling under the surface. Gary King is attempting to quit alcohol, and Diana Cruz wants to undermine Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher’s authority amid producer plant accusations. However,Danni’s constant flirting onBelow Deck Sailing Yachthas made her the center of trouble aboard the Parsifal III.

Captain Glenn Shephard has his work cut out for him with the crew onBelow Deck Sailing Yachtseason 5. He and Gary were forced to fire Deckhand Emma Crouch because of her laziness and incompetence. When she was summarily dismissed, former cast member Chase Lemacksjoined the crew, drawing both Danni and Diana’s eyes. While Danni’s flirty nature has been most of her personality on the show, it’s possible that her latest antics have gone too far. By making Danni the villain, producers have made it obvious they no longer care about theBelow Deck Sailing Yachtcast.

Danni Is Simply Having Fun

Is She Being Shamed?

Danni is simply having fun onBelow Deck Sailing Yacht, and liking to hook up with guys shouldn’t make her a villain. She made it obvious from the first charter that she enjoyed the attention of men. While Keith Allen wasn’t interested in her, Danni and Gary had a fun night out in the ocean after too many drinks. However, their innocent kiss was too chaste for Danni, who undoubtedly wanted more. Luckily, there was an employee at the beach club willing to make her Ibiza romance dreams come true.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

It’s not villainous to want to hook up with men, and ifproducers are trying to make Danni look bad for being boy crazy, that could be considered shaming. Additionally, it’s not Danni’s fault that Chase was interested in her. Their personalities meshed well together from the beginning, and they built their relationship early on because they were sent on the rosé mission together. Chase never seemed that interested in Diana. Her crush on him was painfully one-sided. Danni had to kiss a few frogs, but she finally found her prince in Chase. That doesn’t make her the bad guy.

Producers Are Making Danni The Villain To Deflect From Gary’s Misconduct

Producers are trying to make Danni the bad guy as a distraction fromGary’s sexual misconduct allegations. The troubled First Mate was accused of sexual misconduct during season 4 filming by a former Bravo employee, Samantha Suarez, who was able to escape his advances. However, she was very negatively affected by the experience.Bravo barely admonished Gary with a slap on the wrist, only uninviting him from BravoCon in 2023. While Gary has claimed that producers are trying to edit him out onBelow Deck Sailing Yachtseason 5, he’s still definitely a main character.

Danni doesn’t deserve the villain edit she’s received onBelow Deck Sailing Yacht.

Making Danni the villain is an insidious moveon the part of the producers. Not only are they sweeping sexual misconduct under the rug, but they’re also trying to make a woman look bad by painting her as a bad person just because she likes to flirt with men and have a good time. Danni shouldn’t be the producers' scapegoat just because they’re trying to save Gary’s already tarnished reputation.

Danni’s Frustrations With Daisy Aren’t Completely Wrong

She’s Been Off This Season

While Danni’s definitely been a little insubordinate throughout the season, her frustrations with Daisy aren’t completely out of line. Daisy used to be a no-nonsense, empathetic Chief Stew who was impeccably organized and always on top of things. However,Daisy seems to be dropping the ball this season. She was too drunk to appropriately handle the blood on the white couch situation that Gary caused, leading Captain Glenn Shephard to take away the group outing the next day.

Additionally, Daisy forgot to order rosé wine for the latest charter. Chase and Danni were forced to travel around various bars and restaurants onshore in an attempt to find wine for the charter guests. While their mission was successful, it was an easily avoidable situation. Danni was also forced to face the ire of Chef Cloyce Martin when he was frustrated with Daisy’s communication during service, which was also not her fault.

Danni might not be the hardest worker onBelow Deck Sailing Yacht, but she’s not actually a villain. She just likes male attention and having fun, but she always gets her job done. Producers are trying to distract from the real villains, Daisy and Gary, simply because they’re cornerstones of the show. It’s a disservice to the entire cast.

Below Deck Sailing Yachtseason 5 airs on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock.
