Warning! Contains spoilers for Absolute Power #3!FewBatmanvillains are as physically imposing asBane. Thankfully, Bane is often a bit on the slower side. He can be surprisingly quick, but he doesn’t make it from one side of Gotham to the other without someone noticing. That’s been one of his major drawbacks, but now it seemsa version of Bane from the Multiverse has solved this by stealing the powers of the Flash.

Amanda Waller has been using everything she can to seize Absolute Power over the DC Universe, and one of these methods is discovered by Flash inAbsolute Power#3 by writer Mark Waid and artist Dan Mora. While infiltrating Waller’s base of operations, the Flash discovers that Waller is recruiting people from across the Multiverse.

Bane With Super Speed Behind The Flash

Waller having her army from the Multiverse is already terrifying, but one of the major standouts seems to be a version of Bane who has gotten the powers of the Flash. This turns Bane from a city-level threat to a world-wide one.

Bane’s Speed Has Never Been A Problem Until Now

Absolute Power#3 by Writer Mark Waid, Artist Dan Mora, Colorist Alejandro Sanchez, and Letterer Ariana Maher

Bane has always been one of Batman’s best villainsbecause he is often the physical superior of Batman while also being his mental equal. Not only does Bane have the brains to outsmart Batman, but he’s got the brawn to beat him too. However, since Bane is agiantof a man, it’s not hard to see why actual speed isn’t one of his many strengths. If something isn’t in Bane’s immediate grabbing range, it can take him a bit to reach his target. But that weakness is completely gone now, as DC unveils a Bane with all the powers of a Flash, which opens up a ton of terrifying possibilities.

Bane Fulfills His Destiny As Batman’s True Dark Opposite

While a lot of Batman’s villains could claim to be the Dark Knight’s direct counterpart, Bane is truly the dark opposite of the Caped Crusader.

The Flash has a ton of abilities that make him remarkably dangerous. Flash is capable of phasing through solid objects (including people), he can travel back in time, and he can break the sound barrier at will. The usefulness of speed powers seems only limited by the user’s imagination, as others have done things like generating tornadoes and throwing lightning bolts with their speed. Bane has abrillianttactical mind and there’s really no limits to what he’d be able to come up with if he had these powers.Bane has already broken Batman with nothingbut his strength.Adding speed on top would make him unstoppable.

Flash’s Powers Would Make Bane A World-Ending Threat

Bane has managed to break the Bat and taken over Gotham City in the past. With the powers of the Flash, he’d be able to alter the timeline however he wants, he could erase Batman and Superman from existence. With the power of super speed, there’s really no limit to what Bane could accomplish with his brilliant mind. In a regular fight, Bane has no chance against Superman, but with these powers, he might actually win. This speedster version ofBanewouldn’t just breakBatman, he could break the entire timeline, and the world with it.
