With just weeks before its season 2 debut, anArcaneco-creator is speaking about the franchise’s future. Before the series aired, the creative team faced challenges from the project’s conception, as chronicled in the YouTube documentary seriesArcane: Bridging the Rift. Their hard work was rewarded with acclaim from critics, newcomers unfamiliar withLeague of Legends, and relieved fans of the game, as it has a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score of 100% from critics and a 96% from audiences. Despite this, the confirmedArcaneseason 2 is set to conclude the animated showafter its November 9 premiere.
Speaking withScreen Rant, co-creator Christian Linke shared details about the future beyondArcaneseason 2. He confirmed thatArcane “is just the first one,” teasing thathe and the creative team are working on several projects including the revered IP, some of them being continuations of character stories fromArcane. He also says that, since they’ve successfully jumped over the first hurdle that wasArcane, they can dream bigger. Read his full comment below:

Absolutely. Arcane is just the first one. We’re working on a bunch of new projects, a bunch of new stories from across the different regions and characters of our IP, and some of them are actually continuations of character stories from Arcane. So, definitely, there are some character stories that we want to continue. So, really, Arcane is the true first. This is the first rite that we had to survive and figure out, “Can we do this?” And now, we can kind of dream bigger, which is really awesome.
What This Means For The Future Beyond Arcane Season 2
As said before, Linke and his creative team faced a lot of doubt when makingArcaneand before presenting it to the world. The first season of the now-hit show became proof that he and his team did in fact have what it takes to make a successful animated series based onLeague of Legends, garnering universal acclaim. Fans of the show were disappointed when it was revealed thatArcaneseason 2 would be its final installment, thoughthese comments should reassure that the creators are just getting started.
8 Things That Need To Happen In Arcane Season 2 Before The Show Ends
After the bombshell announcement that season 2 will be the final outing for Arcane, a number of things must happen before the show concludes.
It’s also intriguing that Linke says that some character stories fromArcanewill bleed into future projects. This andthe prospect of new shows from the makers of the series should spark a fire in discussion platforms, with fans speculating on two things. The first being which character stories will be continued in future projects, and the second is whichLeague of Legendschampions will be introduced to the small screen. GivenArcaneseason 2 will tackle the Piltover-Zaun war, however, it seems likely the next show will follow whoever survives the events.

Our Take On Christian Linke’s Comments
As a fan ofArcane, I’m looking forward to future creative projects from Linke and his creative team regardingthe expansive lore ofLeague of Legends. The Netflix series has a lot of things going for it, from its unique animation style to its fleshed-out characters. If he and his creative team put the same hard work they put intoArcaneinto future projects,I’m easily on board and looking forward to what stories they’ll tell and which characters they’ll introduce next.
