Warning! This article contains spoilers for Agatha All Along episode 3.

Agatha All Alongepisode 3’s ending features a huge character death, leading many to wonder if this was real or not. As ofAgatha All Alongepisode 2’s ending, the titular witch and her hastily assembled coven found themselves on the Witches' Road. InAgatha All Alongepisode 3, the first trial of the Road awaited Agatha,Joe Locke’s mysterious Teen, Jennifer Kale, Lilia Calderu, Alice Wu-Gulliver, and Mrs. Hart/Sharon Davis.

Agatha, Teen and Death in Agatha All Along

In this trial, thewitches ofAgatha All Alongneeded to overcome a house of horrors, one filled with poisoned wine, hallucinations, and perilous obstacles. InAgatha All Alongepisode 3, the Witches' Road stayed true to its name by providing an adequately spooky trail that required the alchemical skills of Jennifer to overcome, amid hints towardsMarvel Comics' Nicholas Scratch, links toWandaVision, and a shocking twist as the episode closed. The twist involved the death of one ofAgatha All Along’s main characters, but will this prove lasting?

The character in question is Debra Jo Rupp’s Sharon Davis,Agatha All Along’s residentWandaVisioncharacter. Sharon was dragged along the Witches' Road by Agatha in an attempt for the latter to ignore the presence of Aubrey Plaza’s Rio Vidal. Evidently, this did not end well for Sharon as she was the first to drink the poisoned wine, experience its consequences, and ultimately die asAgatha All Alongepisode 3 ended. As far as the show reveals,Sharon Davis is dead by the end of the episode, raising questions about how and if it could be reversed.

How Did Sharon Davis Die?

The first major question afterAgatha All Alongepisode 3’s ending is how exactly Sharon died. The answer seemingly comes from the poisoned wine of the Witches' Road. Sharon was the first to drink the poison, finishing several glasses of the wine beforeAgatha All Along’s other cast members touched a drop. As such, Sharon succumbs to its effects earlier, passing out long before any of the other witches.

Agatha reunites several familiar faces from WandaVision. Here’s a guide to the cast of characters featured in the Phase 5 series.

Interestingly, Sharon still received the antidote for the poison, yet died anyway. It could be revealed that Sharon’s death was as simple as being given the antidote too late, or it could hint at the true nature of Agatha’s coven. Sharon Davis was never supposed to be part of the Witches' Road, with Agatha using her to replace Rio Vidal. Therefore,Sharon’s death could be a way of the Witches' Road course correcting, thus removing an unofficial part of the coven and making way for Rio Vidal to reemergeinAgatha All Alongepisode 4.

Will Sharon Davis Return From The Dead?

The next burning question regarding Sharon’s death inAgatha All Alongepisode 3’s ending is whether it will be permanent. In a world of Marvel superheroes returning from the dead and the added benefits of witchcraft, it could certainly be the case that Sharon is revived at some point. If Agatha undergoes somewhat of a redemption arc and recovers her powers, she could resurrect Sharon after unintentionally killing her by dragging her down the Witches' Road.

All The Witches' Visions Explained

As alluded to, the poison as part of the trial on the Witches' Road made each main character ofAgatha All Alongexperience strong visions. Each of these hallucinations came at the same time, at least for Alice, Lilia, and Jennifer, who all drank the poisoned wine at the same time. Beginning with Alice, the character saw her mother, who was said to have been lost on the Witches' Road years earlier. Alice’s mother gave some hints at the former’s backstory, from the fate of Alice’s grandmother to the ways magic affected their family.

Alice’s mother is based on the Marvel Comics character of August Wu, a powerful magic guardian of Hong Kong.

Alice’s mother stated that she could feel the grandmother’s passing from thousands of miles away, going crazy over the fact she could not help. She also states she cannot protect Alice, before insisting she will die herself soon enough.More about Alice’s mother will undoubtedly be revealed as the show goes on, with Alice also explaining her mother was not well to Teen, and that she believed all the women in her family were cursed.

Next, there was Lilia’s vision. Lilia saw a girl in an old-fashioned dress who said"Do you want to see?“before leading the divination witch into a darkened room where two dead women were staring at her. Lilia was visibly shaken by this, stating"She’s dead, they’re all dead"in Sicilian upon finding Agatha. It is unclear what these visions mean concerning Lilia’s past, but they likely refer to theEaster eggs fromAgatha All Alongepisode 2about being cast out of several towns after accurately predicting tragedy.

What Was Sharon Davis' Vision?

The only vision that was not outright shown inAgatha All Alongepisode 3 was the one experienced by Sharon Davis. However, it is made evident what Sharon saw. Sharon is shown saying"Wanda? Wanda, I’m begging you. Let him breathe, please.“This is a reference toWandaVision, specifically two scenes from the show’s run. The first is the scene in episode 8 in which Wanda temporarily loosens her grip on the residents of Westview, and they overwhelm her, leading to Wanda accidentally choking them with her magic.

In reality, Wanda likely began choking Mr. Davis so he did not break her illusion, linking back to Sharon’s vision inAgatha All Alongepisode 3…

The other scene Sharon’s vision inAgatha All Alongcould link to comes fromWandaVision’s premiere. This episode involved Wanda having dinner with Sharon and her husband, still under the guise of Mr. and Mrs. Hart. Sharon’s husband begins asking Wanda too many questions, leading him to begin choking on his food as Sharon begs Wanda to stop. In reality, Wanda likely began choking Mr. Davis so he did not break her illusion, linking back to Sharon’s vision inAgatha All Alongepisode 3.

Lilia’s Prediction Explained

Another interesting element inAgatha All Alongepisode 3 is the very brief prediction made by Lilia. As she and Agatha are searching for ingredients to go in Jennifer’s antidote,Lilia blurts out"attempt to save Agatha.“It is not revealed what Lilia meant by this, but it is almost certainly a result of her divination powers. This hints that Agatha’s life will be put in danger inAgatha All Along’s future episodes, in which Lilia’s prediction will become clear and someone will try to save the titular witch.

Is Joe Locke’s Character Nicholas Scratch?

The final question aboutAgatha All Alongepisode 3’s ending links toJoe Locke’s Teen character. It is revealed that someone placed a sigil on Teen, a spell that stops him from revealing anything about himself to people versed in witchcraft. Later in the episode, Jennifer tells Teen about Agatha’s son, Nicholas Scratch, including the possibility that he is dead, a demon, or even an agent of Mephisto, paying off the endless theories that plaguedWandaVisionthree years ago.

Marvel Finally Confirms Mephisto Exists In The MCU

A new Marvel release finally confirms Mephisto exists in the MCU, years after speculation of the demon’s introduction began with WandaVision.

While Jennifer’s own theories about Nicholas are intriguing, one line she utters to Teen raises another.Jennifer states that Agatha would not recognize her own son if he turned up on her doorstep, potentially hinting that Teen is Nicholas Scratch after all, given that he has an obvious connection to Agatha and turned up in Westview unannounced. Later, Agatha stops Teen from drinking the poisoned wine, and it is he who asks her what she saw in her vision. These elements could all hint at Teen being Agatha’s son inAgatha All Along, revealing a deeper connection between the characters.
